11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: For the love of Faeries swap Gallery! on: April 24, 2010 09:06:52 AM
Grin Grin Minuet looks quite happy in her new home. Im so glad you love everything. After I got your package I was worried that I didn't make enough! I'd love to tell you how to make the flower seed paper but I didn't actually make those lol. They were from valentines that I rescued from a thrift store. The wings on the hair clip and on Minuet were made with Fantasy Film, also called Angelina Film. That stuff is heat reactive and so very fun to play with. But I love any craft that lets you play with fire  Cheesy

Also, that frame was sort of designed to be horizontal so that's why I added dangles to the sides. If it stands upright though and you like it like that then awesome Smiley

Also also (lol) I laughed so very hard while I was working on Minuet, while folding the paper for her ruffles, I realized that the sheet music ephemera I had managed to get my hands on was accordion music. But when I told the story to my husband, my mother, my roommate, no one thought it was funny. Maybe you crafters will see the humor in that  Wink Cheesy

Wow I am so happy to have spread the awesomeness of Regretsy!

The Queen of Snark's head, arms, and accessories are made from polymer clay and her torso, legs, skants, shirt and cape are all made from recycled thrift store fabrics.

Thanks so much for your compliments everyone! Regretsy is the best and I hope you all feel right at home there  Grin If you're on facebook, you should find the regretsy page. We have a blast there!

Hey all, I can't believe how awesome this gallery is so far  Grin and it's about to get a whole lot more awesome.

Here is the GORGEOUS belly dancer from PirateColey! I LOVE her face and colors

and when I opened the mail to find thisbirdisabsurd's doll I swear I cried laughing  Cheesy

A GIRAFFE IN A TOP HAT! HA! This fancy fellow is simply amazing.

And, because I am strange, I giggled when I saw his ear broke in transit. You see folks, I have a growing collection of TREASURED broken giraffes. This began a while ago when my mother and I were at a thrift store and I found a gorgeous wooden giraffe that was missing a horn. My mother and I agreed, "Well that doesn't make him a bad person!" and so I gave him a good home. Now I have so many giraffes that are damaged in some way and they are loved for their flaws. It makes me smile to add to my collection (though I feel bad that her artwork broke on its way here. lol its a conflicting sort of happy Wink )

God I love giraffes.  Grin Grin Grin Grin
