51  Re: Polka Dot Piano Key Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lauralyn on: October 25, 2006 11:39:37 PM
hey, i got some nifty musical fabric for a bag for my mom. i might patchwork a keyboard for her but i'll for sure line it with one of these.

she loves rainbows so the multicoloured keys on the inside and the stripes on the outside. or something else, hee hee!
thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the compliments... Sorry I didn't get to reply before you found fabric.. I had bought mine from JoAnn's.. but the fabric you found looks wonderful! Good luck!

52  Polka Dot Piano Key Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lauralyn on: October 24, 2006 10:18:58 AM
I posted this in clothing section for some reason... but it actually belongs here.. sorry if you see this twice.

I made this purse really quick one day for my friend's birthday..
It was really easy to make, but I think next time I make one I will put in pockets or a closure at the top.

Here is a vintage style dress that I made for my friend.. We decided to add the piano keys at the bottom of it. I wish I had taken more pictures of it!

55  Corpse Bride Emily Costume in Halloween Costumes by lauralyn on: October 22, 2006 09:47:53 AM
]Hi everyone, this is my first post.. but I've been a lurker for awhile..I finally got pictures taken of my corpse bride costume that I made last year so I wanted to post it.
I used a pattern for a wedding/prom dress and altered it. I spray painted and blue on (I used stencils for the swirls). Too bad I don't have a blue wig to go with it!
