1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Daisy Square-along - Free pattern! on: January 30, 2008 06:44:31 AM
A few more blocks.  I had some Red Heart varigated yarn called "woodsy" that I thought looked like camoflauge colors but when I went to Wal-Mart they had "fall" colored varigated yarn that I thought would make a really pretty blanket combined with the woodsy colored blocks but the color value is too close together so they blend together and the pattern wouldn't stand out so I'm going to use "Light Sage" and "Fall" in one blanket and woodsy and some other solid color in the other.I thought maybe a light tan but my daughter is better a picking colors and she said she likes burgandy.  She is probably right.

Hi again,
I borrowed my daughters camara.  I hope this is a better picture.I finally finished the daisy blanket with the black back ground.  I made 90 blocks and used 23 different colors for the daisies

I lost track how many skiens of black yarn I used.  It sure is a heavy blanket!

Hi,
I finaly got batteries for my camara so I see if I remember how to post a picture
this is a picture of the new blocks for my next blanket
I thought it would be a fun blanket to have hunter orange daisies with a camoflage back ground.  I ended up with a varagated yarn by red heart called "Fall" and contrasting color light sage with pumpkin orange daisies.  My flash seems to be too bright so this is not a good picture.

sorry I haven't writen for a while.  I haven't had internet access for the last several months.  I have really missed looking at craftster but I have been extra busy crocheting.  I just finnished making 90 blocks for my daisy blanket. Now I am joining them together.  I used 23 different colors for the daisies and they all have the same yellow centers.  I was going to make 110 blocks to make my blanket10 across and 11 high but I ran out of yellow for the centers.  I needed 8 more to make 110 and I decided I didn't want to buy another whole skien of yarn just for 8 yo-yo's.  besides, the way i am joining the blocks together adds half an inch all the way around and then I'm planning on adding a boarder so it will come close to covering a king sized bed.  It just may not hang over the sides much.  need to buy batteries for my camara so I'll half to post pic's later.

FANTABULOUS!  I LOVE THIS FRANKIE BLANKIE!  WHERE COULD I GET A GRAPH LIKE THAT.  DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN GRAPHS?  YOU MENTIONED THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTIEN TOO.  I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A GOOD MUMMY GRAPH OF A WOLFMAN.  I TRIED KNITPRO WEB, I THINK IT'S CALLED, THAT IS SUPPOSED TO CHANGE A PICTURE INTO A GRAPH BUT MINE ALWAYS TURNS OUT BLURRY.  ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRITIATED

I am a cancer but I never liked the crab for my zodiac symbol.  this is the first time I have seen a crab that I like.  I would like to make this but only stuff the legs and leave an opening in the back to stuff my pajamas in.
