1  Simple fun and funky toddler quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by lissaj on: December 04, 2006 07:46:16 PM
Just finished up this fun toddler quilt.  It's super simple and machine quilted but it was fun just because the fabrics are so fun!  I began with the bright blue flower fabric and knew I wanted a striped back.  Anywho, here it is (with my adorable daughter checking it out!)

The close-up pics are kind of wacky color wise but you get the idea Wink

So here's a pic of the whole thing though I am still quilting it and then need to add the binding.  I still have to quilt stars along hte bottom dotted fabric and finish the corner blocks, right now they are jjust quilted temporarily.

(It was a bit windy out so it's not hanging straight)

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. It really isn't so much talent as enjoying it and having the patience for every little stitch.

3  Turtle baby quilt, hand quilting in progress - *more pics added p. 2* in Quilting: Completed Projects by lissaj on: October 14, 2006 11:16:03 AM
Not yet a completed quilt (though I am FINALLY getting close, lol!), but this seems to be the place to post pics.

I made up the pattern for some friends who had a baby boy and love turtles (they have some).  The piecing/applique is fairly simple but I have gotten more complex with the quilting (which is taking me ages, lol).  I LOVE quilting though!!!!  The fabrics, the hand quilting, the product...LOVE doing it  Cheesy

The stars are easier to see on the back:

I am trying to get a decent pic of the whole thing..I'll post one later.

While peicing the front, I love these fabrics!
