Ahh I keep trying to reply and it wouldn't post Sad

I cut loops from the bottom of a t-shirt and twisted them and sewed them together,. Wrapped some extra around the stiched portion and made fabric flowers to cover the wrapped part.

The other I braided a few strands and knotted them to a bunch of looped strands and added beads . I stretched them to different lengths to make it more spread out.

I'm gonna try to make a tutorial soon! Or check out the one I saw at Kojo Designs Smiley

Today's goal was to not leave the house, but make numerous items.  That turned out pretty easy once I realized it was time to RECYCLE!

Now who doesn't have an old T-shirt or two laying around the house? I know I have a million!  So I started hunting through the bunch.
Flower Power Necklace

I found the prefect old t-shirt laying in a pile. Lately I have been on a tye-dye kick , well maybe it's not a kick? More like an all the time thing!

That being said, I have some rather rough  looking tye-dyes that I made with a few kids a while back. They were a bit on the lame side with not much of a pattern to them. Anyways! Since they weren't being worn I figured why not make them the perfect accessory to my new favorite tye dyes? Take a peak at my new creations! Smiley

I also wanted to mention I got the idea while browsing around some awesome craft blogs. I had seen it on numerous pages so I'm not sure who to give the first credit to. However, I started making the Infinity Scarf from a tutorial I found on : Kojo Designs

But it was linked to this awesome page I found full of home made Christmas ideas! The Happy Housewife's list of 100 great home made gifts.

Sadly, all my tye-dyes are in the wash due to adventure to the farm last weekend. So I had to suffice wit my favorite black tee. Now I'm wondering if I can get away with my tye-dye accents at my "all black" uniform photography job. Guess I will have to see Sunday when I go to work Wink

Thanks for checking it out! Feel free to let me know if you would like me to make one for you.

Happy Crafting.

P.S. Those were all made from one shirt! I was surprised how much I could make from one tee!

Smiley One of my newest ideas! Are you gonna be a mommy? Or maybe you know someone that is? How many times have you heard the "Oh my gosh! What are you having?" As soon as a belly bump has been revealed?
Well, these are perfect for that mommy and all of my mommy friends. So I made bunches for friends upcoming baby showers, because it seems like everyone but me is having a little one these days.... Oh well, Ill stick to my kittens and crafts Wink
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stamped images and mod podge on: November 27, 2011 07:56:10 AM
What are you trying to stamp onto?  Tiles? Paper? That is a big factor. What kind of "blocks" are you making with it?

I would try some clear spray paint over it. Or the spray fixatives from Craft stores that are near the Charcoal.

I have tons of colored ink I used to have smearing problems a lot of the time it's just:
how steady your hand is
how old the ink pads are
how long you let the stamp sit on the object/how hard you press down on it

It also may just be the stamps you are using.... Stamps are usually my least favorite things to use because they usually do smear if you don't do it just right lol.
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Paper Musical Inspiration book? I need your help! on: November 26, 2011 10:36:04 AM
Hello crafters! I haven't posted in oh so long but I've as always been looking through all these awesome projects for Christmas Ideas!

Now I am in need of your help! My boyfriend is a guitarist and he is getting into writing his own music. Lyrics and Music.  What I would like to create is some sort of special book for him to keep his Personal Lyrics scribbled in as well as pages for maybe music to be written on. I want it to be niceley done though so I don't want to just decorate a notebook.

I have some music paper that notes actually go on that I can place in where needed and I have an idea of how to bind it.

What I really need is some ideas on inspirational saying or things I could do to spice up some paper for song lyrics. Maybe something like I saw here :

But Would a guy like something like that? Ah someone help?
