1  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / chew toy for a wire-chomping cat? on: September 06, 2010 12:22:15 PM
Wondering if anyone has any ideas for a chew toy for a cat. Everything in the pet store is designed for dogs... The cat (Odin) loves to chew on wires, hoses, tubing, knitting needles, pencils, etc. I bought a big wheel of non-toxic tubing specifically for him to chew on, but he won't do it unless I'm holding it. I'm thinking of some kind of stand-alone thing, maybe made out of wood so it's heavy enough to stand up, with the tubing and other tasty chewy bits inserted so they stand up straight and he can nibble on them as he chooses. Any thoughts?

Here is a pic of the cat in question.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / ideas for septic system cover? on: September 11, 2009 08:22:24 AM
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas for something fun to either make or buy to place in the yard on top of our septic system. Right now, we have an old tire there and it looks god-awful! It needs to be light enough that it can be moved easily when the tank needs to be accessed. We were thinking of getting some kind of garden gnome or maybe a planter, but I was hoping for something more creative. Any ideas? Thanks!
