21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / framing HELP on: August 05, 2004 05:36:15 AM
i have some graphite on bristol smooth drawings that i completed for my husband for our one-year anniversary gift.  i ordered an acid-free mat, a nice frame and all that...got it in the mail yesterday, and now i'm stuck.  i am unsure what sort of tape i should use to hinge the drawing to the mounting board and i don't know how to cover the back of the frame.  i should be using that brown paper right?  what is it called? where do i obtain some?  anyone know of any helpful websites?  i've yet to find one.......
any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks in advance
jessi

That is really cute. I was searching on ebay today and i found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=962&item=3490083374&rd=1. It`s a necktie purse. It looks pretty simple to make

yeah, i love it!!  that is actually posted here also:

actually, i ended up in the emergency room with kidney stones!  it is pretty rare for a female, of my age, to get one...and i got two, so they are doing lotsa tests...aaaaaand my husband and i just bought our first house. well, almost, we haven't closed yet but very exciting, and busy, and nervous all at once!!!

as for the trade, i've responded to the first reply i got, so thank you anyhow.

and i promise i'll get that tute up...

thanks for the concerns,
jessi

it does that because the bottom of the skirt is larger than the top (when i fold it over for the pleats, the bottom stays unfolded, resulting in more fabric at the bottom)

kategirl  actually i just cut the bottom off of a tank top and slouched it.  i didn't sew it to secure it or anything....it stays just fine slouched around my waist

HotCarl  well, im only 22 and my husband is 23, he was 17 when his mom had his brother.
