1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Velvet Painting Frames on: February 13, 2010 05:06:27 PM
 Grin
So, I've managed to rescue more than a few lovely-in-their-tackiness velvet paintings from thrift stores......I absolutely LOVE the paintings themselves, but they all seem to be in these horrible rough wood frames! I don't know what to do with them! I thought about painting them, but if it doesn't turn out well, they're ruined?!?!?! Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks all!!!!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hole Messenger Bag! on: February 20, 2009 11:04:30 AM
So this is nothing too terribly special, but I really love it!

I have forever been searching thrift stores for Hole tees, and this was the first, and sadly only one I have found so far. I was so excited, I didn't even notice till I got home that there were HUGE grease stains on the bottom part, well I didn't want to wear it, so I blasphemously chopped it up.....and hand sewed it onto this messenger bag!!! And thats pretty much it! My other purses are getting jealous because they are being seriously negclected!

Thanks for Looking!!!!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Home Library on: February 20, 2009 10:56:02 AM
Hello!

So this is my latest home project. I have the dreaded "Must-Constantly-Move-Furniture-Disease" It's pretty straight forward, just two bookshelves with a board on top. The board actually has L-Brackets on it, but that particular wall is concrete, not so easy to deal with. And I just added the chair and table to make a cozy reading area....perfect for when hockey (yarg) is on, just add Ipod and bf-yelling-at-the--tv magically disappears! LOL. The Nirvana flags are there for loverboy, I would much rather have Hole ones, but alas, cannot find one! (Any ideas on how I could get my paws on some would be greatly appreciated btw!)

Thanks for looking!!!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cool Davenport-Kinda Couch Dealie on: October 18, 2008 05:40:37 PM
So.....I scored this sweet couch at the second hand shop where I work, for $7.00 (Gotta love that staff discount!) Anyways the back was all open and awful, and there was a considerably large hole in the vinyl part of the back rest. I just used these old orange-y curtains I had laying around and just folded, tucked and nailed it all around, I would have stapled it, but I'd really like to put newer vinyl on it someday.....so this will do for now! Thanks for looking!!!! Grin

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / old concert tix on: December 17, 2006 07:57:45 AM
hey everybody...this is my first ever project post....ive been sneaking around for quite a while now, looking at all this awesome stuff! Best website ever!
Anyways I made these because I was tired of my old tix being smushed in with my un-scrapbook worthy photos, i mean, i kept them for a reason right? Might as well display them. They are also usually in these frames i hand painted, but they don't scan too well like that, yknow with the glass and all, anyways let me know what
you think!! Grin
