Finally back from cheer camp (an odd thing for someone who's 8 months pregnant to do, I know) and I have goodies to post!!
A - Attractive Bookmarks
Karen got my love of Hello Kitty so well!! The one on the left isn't crafted, but the other two are. I just LOVE ladybugs too. Bookmarks are awesome because I usually have a ton of books "going" at the same time, and I use receipts as bookmarks, and then I can't find my page and it defeats the purpose
P - Pink cloth & yarn
I love making dishcloths for others, but I had never made any for myself! Pink is my favorite color! (And as I am posting these pics, the mailman delivered another package with yummy alpaca yarn! Pink too!!)
R -Round soap
Plus 2 other natural soaps. I looove handmade/natural soaps, especially to use with the babies.
I -Important craft supplies
I just got into mosaics the last few months, so this is grout and some really great cool colored mosaic tiles. I have the PERFECT project for these too!!
L -Leaf bookmark and pattern
This is so cool, I've never seen anything like it before! It can be a bookmark or a necklace (or a headband!) and it's adjustable with a button. Thank you for including the pattern, I have a feeling I'll make lots of these for Christmas presents.
All kinds of Hello Kitty goodness! And cool tattoo themed buttons!
Thank you for being such a wonderful partner Kayrun!! It was so much fun to craft for you, and I LOVE everything that I got!! Thank you so much!!
Oh, here's a picture of the inside of the accordion book that I made for Kayrun. This was a project in my Psychology of Art class, where it was suggested that it could be used for the steps of recovery. I made my mom one with Bible verses in it. I just left this one blank on the inside:
Hi! I haven't disappeared off of the face of the earth! A close family member had a medical emergency in the middle of April, but, long story short he's OK and Noobina and I worked out our trade, better late then never! And she sent the most awesome stuff!!
What we've got here is an awesome stuffed Mario mushroom for my daughter (it's 80 degrees, and she's finally napping after being a crab all morning, so when she wakes up I hope I'll get an action shot) It's so cute!! And an adorable hand carved stamp (and clear mounting block) of a bee! Straight off my wists, and it's so perfect that I got it now, I'm going to use it to stamp envelopes for my college grad party (our mascot is a yellow jacket, and the bee is sooooo much cuter!). Non crafted goodies are a circular knitting needle (I constantly lose them, or never have the right size, so I love it!) and a great quilting magazine. I'm just getting into quilting and I love that the projects are basic, but don't look dumb.. If that makes any sense
Thank you so much Noobina!! It was awesome to swap with you!
YES!!! I finally have a few minutes to get to post my pics!! Princessblueberry is a GREAT partner, and never disappoints!!
First: She made 2 big ziplocks full of awesome fudge!! Obviously, they didn't make it to the photoshoot too yummy. So much so that one of my dogs got into some *facepalm*
Here are my boys begging for their actual treats, some bone shaped faux-chocolate chip treats! Icky (the black one, my baby) is sticking his tongue out for it.
Baby leggings!! I love these, they're so handy.
Action shot of the happy bunny leggings! And the cute crochet bib (I crochet too, and have never made a bib. But I will now, it is really absorbent!)
Another action shot of the leggings. And I like to share my smiley Lila
Strait of my wists, the greatest circular knitting needle holder ever!! It velcros shut and even has a velcro pocket! Love it.
Cloth diapers! They are almost too gorgeous to use!!
Another one straight off my wists, a beautiful scarf holder! Now I can hang them up instead of them being balled up in the mud room.
(My pictures are all sorts of out of order) Not 1, but 4 pretty stockings!! I can't wait to display all of these!
And the etc. There is a scrapbook, lots of hello kitty things (happy meal toys, stickers, a dry erase board, winter gloves), crochet flower pins, 2 beaded necklaces, and all sorts of paper goods and ATCs, I have been dying to make some!! My glass of juice also ended up in this picture
I forgot to get a picture of the carseat cover, also a wist, and the most awesome thing ever! I'll try to get one soon
Thank you so much J Darling!! I love everything, and so happy to have you as a partner!!
Holy fast shipping Batman! I received my loot yesterday, and it's so awesome!
This is a cool mini dress form with *Patience* (in pretty cursive. btw) and cool purple rose patches. I didn't get a pic of the back, but there is a tribal design on the back too! Also some printer paper to make your own tattoos!!
A kit of embroidery things!! A towel, a how-to book, patterns, and floss! My embroidery skills are so lacking, that I'm really excited to start this!! All I need is more hours in my day
3 gorgeous art canvases!! I love the sexy knitting lady! The hello kitty with my name is BA, and has a hello kitty ribbon around the edge (why have I never done that for any of my canvased works??) The last one is based on my future memorial tattoo for the baby we lost. It is beyond gorgeous, and touched my heart.
Thank you so much Alice!! I loooove everything so much!!
OK. Anyone with little girls (or likes girlie girl things) prepare to be jealous. Just warning ya
First is a very cute embroidered Blue (from Blues Clues)!! DP is obsessed with Blue (ever since a year or so ago when we were at the Mall of America, and a costumed Blue gave us a bunch of free ride wristbands). I had him opening the package with me and he said, "Look, it's Cash."
Except for not being blue, there is a resemblence there (this is our English Pointer).
I believe this is a pleather patch (with embroidery too) of a cute girlie skull/butterfly. No other baby will have this one!!
Ruffle-butt onesie!! I squeeled when I saw this one! I like that the ruffles are really soft (not scratchy) and the heart with wings embriodery is too cute.
In northern MN/WI you have to have long sleeved onesies!! I looove the owl applique on this one.
This one will be called the pirate dress! It's a onesie, and it is just the cutest thing ever! I love the sparkely girlie skull fabric.
Breastfeeding in public is not a crime. This one is so awesome!
Nursing pads!! There is one more pair that is being put to use and didn't make it to the photoshoot. These are soooo much softer and less irritating then the store bought ones that I had gotten.
Cloth diapers!!! I am so very lucky to have gotten Jessica as a partner. My baby shower is this weekend, and everyone looks at me like an alien when they found out I would be cd-ing. These ones are so pretty!!
And matching pants!! Can you believe she made these?? They're so perfect!
A repurposed tote (out of an Old Navy tank). I thought this was just a random tank until I was showing my mom all the goods, and she was like, "Why is the bottom of this sewn up?" Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I get it
Last but not least (and I think one of my favorite things) a nursing cover with the same awesome girlie sparkley skull fabric!!! I just love this so much, and it is so professionally sewn!
And our little girl won't be making her arrival for another couple of months (so no action shots as of yet), so here is a belly pic with Cash and "his" baby. (He felt the baby kick before DP ever did!)
Thanks again Jessica!! You are such a talented craftster and I am very lucky to have you as a partner!!
Yay!! I'm so happy that you are liking the crochet kit (well, when you have time, between little ones and puppies)
I got some unbelievable inchies from LunaKitten! I really don't believe that she hadn't made them before!
Alice and Wonderland (I loooove the colorful backgrounds of these, and they're playing cards! Brilliant!
These ones are loaded with beads! Their color and texture is amazing!
Pretty fabric flowers and brads on a hot lime green watercolored background!
Gorgeous painted trees and leaves.
The whole lot! These are all so different, and they're going to look so awesome on my inchie page! I will try to update or post again when I get that all together. LunaKitten did an awesome job!! She even sent some chocolate goodies, which, of course, didn't make it to the photoshoot
I got some beautiful dog collars for my boys today from zombiekilla!! So far they have only worn them for the photoshoot, because they are both dirtbag filthy from playing in the lake today.
Here is Cash in his. He was misbehaving today on our outing, which is why I think he looks so sad. Looking pretty in his collar cheered him up though
Icky took about 20 minutes to get a good pic of. He gets a haircut in a couple weeks, then you'll actually be able to see his pretty collar. He kept strutting around the house in his new collar. He's a little showoff, but he was a blur in most pics I tried taking. He's finally keeping still here watching Dad make dinner.
(ETA: This pic also explains why we are in constant need of swiffer cloths. Our yard is pure mud, and our kitchen floor is littered with dog prints, no matter how often we clean)
Here is the good picture of the patterns on the collars. I loooove orange (the boys look so handsome in orange) and the ribbon is adorable!
Thank you so much zombiekilla!! You did a wonderful job and I love the collars!
I finally got around to making some ornaments (I guess 2 straight weeks off work will do that to ya)
Super metallic dreamcatchers. I used bangles left over from a prom long ago, metallic embroidery floss, and pearl or metal beads. These babies are so pretty but a real test of patience, because unlike using a leather or wood ring, the floss slips on the metal really easily. So super glue is a must.
I saw this on Craftster before (whoever made them, please post so I can give you credit!!), and they are just too adorable. Charlie Brown Christmas Trees!! I've put the dead tree in my back yard to use! Twigs are not easy to work with either.
