11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Zelda swap round 2! SO 1/31/2011 on: January 03, 2011 03:27:00 AM
I think there was some awesome partnering going on this weekend, Dizzer!  (I didn't even know there were other Craftsters in my little town!)

I have so many ideas knocking around in my head, this is going to be another great swap!
12  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Doctor Who Swap round 5 (SIGNUP 12/30/10 - 1/14/11; SENDOUT 2/17/11) on: January 01, 2011 11:04:53 PM
Questionnaire sent!

I am so excited for this swap. First-time swapper here, just couldn't resist the Doctor. :p
A great way to start your swapping adventure, I think!

I had no idea there was a marathon on tonight!  I just finished watching my copy of season 2! lol  That finale' always makes me teary eyed.
Oh man, me too... it's so sad!

Excitement abounds!  I do love me some Zelda, and this swap will help ease the pain of waiting for Skyward Sword, haha!

I got this great sushi set from FinRaziel!  (I posted it in the round 64 thread, when it should have been here, whoops!)

So cute, and she even sent some chopsticks, haha!  Cheesy

Myloveasdeep, the jackalope and squid bags are too awesome!

I got some AiO cloth diapers from 1boy1girl1kitty2!  They colors went a bit wonky in the photo... the darker pair are green with a soft yellow interior, and the other is white with a guitar & star pattern on the back (which I now realize I didn't get a picture of - I'll have to do that when they're done being pre-washed)

My internet is finally back and stable! (Woohoo!  You don't realize how much you use it until it's gone...)

Anyway!  I updated with photos of the rest of my presents, as well as MargieJ's (page 3)

Everyone's packages are so amazing, this was such a great swap!

A couple of my favorites:  The Link candy dispenser (I have a serious soft spot for anything Zelda), the embroidered wolf pillowcase, and all of the cowls!

What if this was a swap plus baby shower, like the last one?

I'm all for that idea!  (The baby shower part of the last one was just as fun as the actual swap part)

What we did when DS made his grand appearance a month early (Two days before the baby shower!) is prioritized everything - what needed to be done before we got home, what could wait a week, what could wait a month.  He was almost a month old before we baby-proofed, and 3 months when we put the crib together, but we made sure to have a bassinet and diapers ready straight away.  If you're breastfeeding, the only things you really need for the first month are a breast pump and milk storage, a bassinet, diapers, diaper rash cream (I suggest Boudreaux's Butt Paste - it worked wonders on DS) a couple of blankets, and 8 outfits or so (should last 2-3 days to allow for laundry).  The rest can wait. Smiley  Feel free to PM me if you need to vent or want last-minute tips or whatnot.  Baby-prep doesn't get more hectic than going in for a routine US and having a C-section a few hours later.

I received a while ago from Banga and FinRaziel, but my internet has been... spotty from the awful weather we've been having, so I just got photos uploaded!  Woo!

A "... and then Buffy slayed Edward" shirt (which is amazingly comfy and the perfect color Cheesy) and some monogram cards as an extra (very handy this time of year)

and FinRaziel sent me this awesome set of crochet sushi! <3 it!

She even included some chopsticks!  (Maybe I can use this to teach my son how to use chopsticks when he's a little older Wink)
19  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Doctor Who Swap Round 4 SENDOUTS 12-17-10!!! on: December 20, 2010 06:25:40 PM
*playing catch-up*

Internet access has been spotty since the blizzard last weekend, and we're currently under an advisory to stay off the roads until tomorrow afternoon.  (There is SO much snow outside, and now an ice storm :/)  So I will be sending as soon as that lifts (yay for being able to leave the house again!  boo for having to dig out the car... again...)

She made me these great, comfy socks just in time for the 17 inches of snow (why do people inhabit Minnesota?!)

Lewis Black has a great bit on this, I have it on his Live from Minneapolis CD.
I found an upload of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALdI3GorPoA

Great packages, all around!
