1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: i like to embarrass my cats with sweaters on: November 19, 2007 07:39:36 PM
Oh, those are so cute!  I would love to make a sweater for my cat but anytime I put clothes on her she just falls on her side and acts like she's paralyzed. Tongue
2  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Re: Kool-Aid and Food Dyed yarn on: November 05, 2007 08:10:51 AM
I've never done this but have wanted to try.  How badly does the yarn fade with repeated washings?
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My Kitchen Makeover AKA My Thrifted Kitchen on: October 24, 2007 07:44:15 AM
Omg!!  I love love LOVE it!  This reminds me so much of some pictures I saw of Jennifer Perkins (from Naughty Secretary Club): http://www.pussycatmagazine.com/retrodecorating/retrohomedecor2005/jenniferperkins.html

I've wanted a kitchen like hers forever.  Now I want a kitchen like yours! Smiley
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Not your ordinary guestbook! on: October 13, 2007 07:35:28 PM
That's a great idea. I own a ceramic studio and one of the things we do, is have the guests sign a huge platter that we glaze afterwards.  They are always really nice and much better than signatures that will be tucked away in a book somewhere and hardly ever seen.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: cool flower shirts on: September 12, 2007 08:05:49 AM
I love them!  So simple and cute.  I'm going to have to make myself a few of those before summer is over. Smiley
6  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Re: Simplicity 4581 -- beautiful, if you're patient! on: September 06, 2007 08:55:38 PM
Whoa....hats off to you for doing all the Hong Kong seam binding.  That's some serious work!  It looks great. Smiley

Seriously, though...buy a serger.  I sew SOOO much more (and better) now that I have one.  I make at least one outfit a week as opposed to once a every other month or so.

10  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Another super fat FBB on: September 04, 2007 06:42:26 PM
I was inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=185953.0

So I made my own, also using Thick & Quick yarn with an N hook.  Took me exactly 4 skeins.  I wasn't accounting for the weight of the bag with all of my stuff in it when I made the handles, so I think I might redo them shorter and wider.  Aside from that, I looove it.
