12  Crazy Christmas Stocking in Winter Holidays by Colorfuldayz on: July 21, 2008 10:25:32 AM
I have been making items for an upcoming Christmas in July show, including Christmas stockings. I have made quite a few, but this one is my favorite so far, so I had to post it. It was a lot of fun to make, used up some fabric scraps (one of my favorite things to do), and turned out super vibrant.

It is so fun seeing (and receiving) all the vastly different fabrics.

Here are my latest two packs, from Crafty Diane (top) and Aspenwall (bottom). Thanks again!!

Got my Tip In page from LGD! The quote on the back says, "Sometimes the simplicity of 1 is all you need." I love that! Thanks again, Carla~

15  Re: Chunky Book Page Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Colorfuldayz on: May 21, 2008 07:10:35 AM
Here is my beautiful chunky page from Queen of Fools! The front is embossed, and absolutely beautiful. The back is a lovely (and one of my favorite) shade of warm deep yellow. The funky yarns set it all off perfectly. Unfettered freedom to move and travel is a concept very near and dear to my heart, so it makes this page perfect for me!

I got my lovely page from TheBon, too!

The back says "Age is a number; life is a gift."

And TheBon got her page from me, too, and asked that I post the pics. It is hard to see, but the little circles have numbers on them for the number of items in that particular group.

17  Journal/Notebook Case with Scrap Fabrics in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Colorfuldayz on: May 03, 2008 05:24:06 PM
I am an avid journal keeper, and have a handful of must-haves when I am on the road with my journal. This is what I came up with so that I can grab and go. The outside is made with scraps sewn to a sheet of interfacing, then covered with free-motion machine embroidery. The inside is cut from the drop cloth I have been using to cover my table when I paint. Fits an 8 1/2 x 11 inch notebook/sketchbook.

Here is the page I sent to Goatgoddess, since she has trouble getting a good photo. I didn't get a pic of the back. The words say "Making Art, Not Money, is Satisfaction ... but both would be nice!". On the right, on top of the fibers, is a tiny old glass vial (compliments of Babs!!) full of shredded money (compliments of my daughter's school visit by the US Treasury!!).
