1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Vintage 1940's Mens Trousers on: January 31, 2011 05:21:38 AM
Hello,

I am currently starting my final collection for my Fashion Design degree and am basing it on 1940's menswear.

I have been trying to find an original trouser paper pattern from this time but cant find any in the UK.

Does anyone have any ideas on where I could find a pattern from this era?

Thanks  Smiley
2  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Help with my trip to USA and beyond!! on: March 23, 2008 07:30:23 AM
Hey, I am planning on a world wide trip next summer and wondered if any other my fellow craftsters would know of the places I must stop off on my way over USA and New Zealand.

I am really into knitting and other wool crafts and more recently cross stitch and embroidery.

Any help or advice would be really appreiciated!
3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Not really craft related but... on: August 17, 2007 04:12:34 AM
I was just wondering if anyone here in the UK has bought a blythe doll, and where you got it from. I am watching some on ebay but i am worried about spending too much!!Also i would want to change the hair on the ones i am watching and am unsure how to do it. Is is better to use a wig or to get the hair changed, is it difficult to do this yourself?

I also wondered whether anyone had any info on customising blythes and whether there is a good book or magazine with ideas and help.

Thanks, I will appreiciate any help!
