I've been doing a lot of crafting for my mom lately Here is the latest:
Not really in shape here, but we were on the road and I was happy to finish it. It's all Peaches n cream cotton, white, except for the band, which is a multi with purple, lime and aqua. I lost the label somewhere along the way so I couldn't tell you the exact name. Pattern came from somewhere online, I printed it out before I left, but it was confiscated by my Gramma to use when we were at her house. So I can't tell you that either. I'm just overflowing with lots of help today!
My inspiration for this lamp came from my desire for a bird in the house. I love birds, my hubby does not. So I made a little nice feeder into a lamp, and imagine the birds I could feed
Start with a cedar bird feeder and extra hand
Make a few modifications to the mini fowl-food holder
Find a place to hang it, and admire your work...
Decoration optional, go with your heart Mine said "Natural," but I may add a bird at a later time, if I can bead one up that I like, maybe a blue jay, wouldn't that look stunning against the copper of the lamp?!!! The warmth of bulb causes the scent of cedar to fill the room, and is such a wonderful extra to this project. Thanks for looking!!!
My objective for creating this quilt for a custom order was to capture the essence of a rose garden. I really love how it came out, but as I was packaging it up I thought, "Gee this looks rather Christmassy"
Everyone loves it, but next time I will use different colors together
A matching nap-time companion, no buttons or anything, safe for teeny-tiny's
I made this for the color swap and thought I'd share it here since I hadn't posted a bag in a while
It's about 14x16, and has a plain inside for large items (no pockets). It has the heavy duty Pellon interfacing, so it's pretty stiff. My favorite part is the satin rope trim at the top. It's really just for looks, but I think it adds a lot to the bag. The bottom and handles are cotton velvet, for extra sturdiness. Well, thanks for looking!
This is my first post over here in Paper Crafts, Hi everyone!
I made this for the Favorite color swap I just finished. My partner has received her package already, so I wanted to share here. I's been a while since I've made any journals, and I forgot how oddly soothing it is. I always relax when I do any kind of hand sewing... I used sketch paper, and left the edges a little rough, I though it was a nice contrast to the fabric, which actually has gold accents, even though you can't see them. The rings around the flowers are gold. That's why the ribbon is gold, in case you were wondering
So what do y'all think? Should I send my journal making back into dormancy??
This one was supposed to only take a couple hours. However, it got buried when I rearranged my crafting area, and just saw the light of day today. So after 3 months, this quick bag is finished!!
Just a simple mid-sized duffle, no pockets or extras. I made it from stretch twill and lime green cotton inside, with the intention of it being an extra bag to stuff into a suitcase for travel souvenirs to bring back home, etc. (stuffed with a throw for shape) It's for one of my sisters that travels a lot, and last time she came, her tiny 'extras' bag was bursting at the seams. Maybe with a bigger bag, she'll bring me back more goodies!!!
