great stuff.... a light up quit.. how cool!!.... is the fabric you used already printed with the tardis on it or did you make it?

I created the picture in Photoshop, based on an image I had seen elsewhere, and printed it onto fabric using bubble jet set (a treatment for fabric that makes inkjet ink permanent).

Now I have the design, it is much easier to make subsequent quilts! The graphic took many many hours to do.

# of Angels needed: 1
spectrumsparksie - angel found; and original parcel arrived!
deadbathducky - needs an angel

We need an angel for the lovely deadbathducky!

The parcel sent to deadbathducky has gone missing.  I would like to find an angel who knits or crochets, if I can!

Quote
The main part of the parcel was a pair of very special (squid-themed because squid are awesome!!!) convertible mittens that slingmomma made up especially for me (using my arm measurements to make sure they fit my odd arms) i have wanted some convertible mittens for a while so i can still wear them when i am working on the computer or using my phone, as my fingers can get pretty cold quickly in winter.

There was also some little miniature crocheted lemmings from my wists and some candy (because i am a foreign candy addict), but they were kind of extras, the mittens are the only things i really "need", so i dont mind if the angel just sends a pair of knitted of elbow length crocheted mittens  in purple and green (because those colours remind me of the joker) using my measurements

just under elbow-10.5 inches
wrist-6-6.5 inches
length from elbow to wrist-8.5-9 inches
finger length ( from wrist to fingers, going from pinkie to thumb)
-5.5", 6.5", 7",6.2", 5"

Please note that deadbathducky lives in Australia, please make sure you are comfortable sending internationally if you live elsewhere  Grin

I finally got a chance to take photos in the daylight today of what PosiTori sent me.  Sadly I only had about 17 seconds to do so, so feel free to post better pics if you have some.

She sent me these gorgeous jellyfish for my little girl's colourful sea themed room:

And also this sweet cardinal, my favourite bird!

Thank you so much PosiTori, we love them.

A reminder that we are reaching 2 weeks past the send out date, and we have to give (hopefully temporary) negative feedback to anyone who hasn't sent by end of day tomorrow.

If you haven't sent yet, please make your partner a priority!  And let your partner and organizers know when you will be able to send.
17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: vintage needlepoint chart help on: March 07, 2011 12:34:55 AM
I don't know how much help I will be, because I can't see the chart very big (I'm on an iPod), but isn't needlepoint essentially just doing the first stitch of a cross stitch, but not the second?

Does it help to think of the chart as pertaining to the junctions in the weave, not the holes?

How is the chart going "off course" if you stitch it the way you think it should be done?

Just a reminder that tomorrow we are a week past the send out date. Please keep your partner and organizers in the loop if you still haven't sent.

Tomorrow is send-out day!

If you are going to be late sending, please let the organizers and your partner(s) know, if you haven't already.
20  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: String Block Frustration on: February 26, 2011 03:40:36 PM
The solid middle needs to be centred on the diagonal of the square, like in this tutorial: http://www.psiquilt.com/2009/05/block-o-strings-tutorial.html
