1  UNITED STATES / Michigan / best Joann Fabrics in Detroit-area? on: July 07, 2011 07:42:22 AM
When I am in Detroit in a few weeks, I will be close to 3 stores: Allen Park, Taylor, and Madison Heights.  Is any of these better than the others?  Is there a different location I should consider?

Have you seen how dirty sheep get  Cheesy  I'd totally go with the sheepskin, just do a bit of research into the best ways to clean it.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Fabric Lover Scavenger Hunt Gallery on: June 01, 2011 08:23:20 PM
I received from p.kok today!  I was thoroughly spoiled Smiley

This is a picture of the lovely fabric p.kok designed for me and is on it's way from Spoonflower:

A gorgeous crochet hook roll:

A sweet pincushion with even sweeter pins (p.kok they are totally useable! in fact your parcel arrived while I was in the middle of pinning a quilt and I put them right to use after the photo...):

My favourite, a vintage piece of fabric, from Egypt, that p.kok's grandfather brought back from there.  I will have to think of a VERY special project for this:

The black fabric here is a vintage piece from p.kok's grandmother's stash, and the green is one she picked up for me in Berlin!:

Some clay buttons I can't wait to use, made by her boyfriend's sister, and a collection of lucky pennies:

And some chocolate Smiley

I am very happy.  Thank you again p.kok!

I sent yesterday Smiley  Something green, something lucky, something bumpy, the letter "M", and I think sender's choice.

I have to narrow my list down, and get cracking!  I think I have some fantastic ideas.

I'm challenging myself to make the parcel fantastic but light, so I don't spend $50 sending it overseas (Canada Post is so expensive).

I use hawthorne threads a lot for online shopping.

I have a busy few days so I can't start crafting yet, but I have a lot of ideas!

By crikey this is just astonishing! Do you mind me asking where/how you found the led? Am working on a similar (though vastly inferior) cushion..

I only just saw your question now!  DH and I based the circuit off of this one http://www.instructables.com/id/ThrobbingFading-LED-with-555-Timer/
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Easter doll on: March 23, 2011 10:02:46 AM
I made this doll from the black apple doll pattern, for my toddler's Easter basket.  She chose the elephant fabric herself when I took her to the store yesterday  Grin
