2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / craft swap gallery...where's the pictures? on: June 19, 2005 12:42:56 AM
1st off.....I LOVE LOVE craftsters......I visit almost daily for inspiration and relaxation  Grin I find everything on the site so well put together but one area I find kinda frustrating is all the posts you have to scan through before you see any pictures in the swap gallery.I don't know if anything can be done to keep it more like a "gallery" but I tend to avoid the forum lately.

Maybe after a period of time the talking posts can be deleted like you are doing with the craft challenge gallery?

Just a suggestion  Smiley

5  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Poynton on: July 21, 2004 07:38:05 AM
Hi everyone Smiley

I just thought I'd post here because I have plans to move to England in the not to distant future  Grin I'm in the US right now.

I'm extremely happy about the move (hubby is there) but I have to admit I will miss having access to so many craft/fabric stores and yardsales.

I'm going to be moving to the Poynton area....do you guys know where that is?

I've heard alot about boot sales. Are they pretty much everywhere or are they hard to find?Do you have estate sales?Ya know like when an older person passes the family opens the house and sells their stuff?I'm an antique dealer also so I'm hoping that I will find some way to continue finding things.

I've been thinking about bringing or shipping as much fabric and craft supplies as I can so that I won't feel lost and craftless when I get there.

I've asked my husband about getting fabrics and stuff but being a guy he isn't to aware of places I could go to get new and used stuff.

Anyway.....nice to meet you all  Smiley

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / soo fun and addicting on: June 23, 2004 09:21:33 PM
I stumbled upon this site the other night and I think it's an awsome  idea and lots of fun.                                                                  It's a drawing pad.......you draw pictures in black and white and post them for all to see.People can comment on them if they want too.

Once they get 500 thousand usable pictures they are going to published them in a huge book. They also hope to travel the world and display them in art museums Smiley

They have  213,193 pictures right now

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / marble magnet necklace yippee! on: June 15, 2004 06:05:23 PM
I've been looking at my marble magnets for awhile now, wondering if there was something else I could do with them.
I had a light bulb moment and got out my trusty dremel tool.
I cut a grooves in the glass for  jewelry wire to sit in.......keeping it in place.
I think the bit I used may be called a cut off bit.

I made this one up fast and I know my wire work leaves something to be desired but my future ones I will take more time to make them neater.

whatya think?
