did the staples "close" (as in, there's no bit sticking into the shoe that is gonna hurt my fragile toe-sies)?

64  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Heavy Listenings---> Tool, NIN, APC, Marilyn Manson, etc... Swap? on: October 29, 2006 12:37:12 PM
well I'm in, of course.
here's how I'm thinking it could work:

Person A sends in a list of their favorite bands. for example:

1.Alice in Chains
2.Flyleaf
3.A Perfect Circle
4.Black Label Society
5.Chevelle

then Person B sends in a list of:

1.Black Label Society
2.Pantera
3.Slipknot
4.Rage Against the Machine
5.System of a Down

they would get matched up for Black Label Society and swap with each other. or if more than one band on their lists matched, they would have the choice of which one they wanted to do more.

but what if someone sends in a list that has all bands that noone else has? that's why we'll limit it to a certain genre or type of band, like "metal"-ish or just say "rock"? or make a big list of all the bands and let people pick their top 5 out of that?
65  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: TOOL the band SWAP GALLERY on: October 28, 2006 08:59:38 PM
why not just a "favorite alternative band" swap?
like, everybody could send in a list of their top five, then everybody would get matched up with somebody else that liked that band, too! cause I wouldn't be that into a NIN swap, but would love Tool or APC or Chevelle. what do you think?
66  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Homemade ninja costume on: October 26, 2006 01:13:01 AM
haha that's nifty. you should put "ninjas do it better" or "pirates suck" on the back of your shirt.

68  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: i <3 pumpkins, cause autumn is the best on: October 22, 2006 01:15:25 PM
I'm making one too! My husbands granny gave me some of her old stash with a bunch of bright orange acrylic in it, and I had no idea what to do with it till now! I'm going to try for a whole pumpkin family... and maybe add some black felt to make some jack-o's!  Cheesy
69  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Milk packages - things I could do with kids! HELP!* on: October 21, 2006 01:15:46 PM
make little box cars, like stick a straw or something through the box and put buttons or something for wheels, and then have a race? and a contest for best decorated? or maybe the same idea but make boats?

hey, I'm making an elephant from the same site as your triceratops! I love the way it's coming so far, I only wish it had been bigger. did your dino turn out the full 11 inches long?
