All good ideas, thanks. Smiley

I've never tried the shirt to skirt thing, but I would imagine that you could use any shirt that would fit you around your waist.  I would string ribbon through the hem in the bottom by poking 2 small holes then threading it through like a drawstring, just to hold it on your waist.  And if it's too loose still, you can resize it by taking it in one side, or both with your new sewing machine. Smiley  That's really all I can think of I hope it helped!

I have so many pairs of old jeans and tons of scraps of jeans, I'm sick of making jean skirts and purses.
Does anybody have any other ideas of what I can do with them?

I know you probably want to wear it as a shirt, but I've heard of people making these into purses, I never tried it but it's a thought. Smiley

I love those kind of belts I have three or four of them, sadly I did not make them myself though.  Actually I got one custom-made from this guy at a flea market in Chicago.  I never really thought of making them myself, but since I love them so much I think I'm going to get started on that!

77  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Fabric paint? on: June 01, 2004 07:17:42 AM
So I got this cute denim purse from my grandma for my birthday and I like it but it's just too plain.  I want to try stenciling something on it but I've never stenciled before.  I've looked up tutorials and found out how to do it but none of them say what kind of paint I should use.
Should I use regular fabric paint or is acrilyc with a fabric medium better?  Huh

Thank you!
