2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Gingerbread Icecream stand - Lucia procession, preist and Santa with wifes on: December 16, 2012 08:28:24 AM
2012 version of Gingerbread house (or this year a icecream stand) is now ready! The design is made by my children, I built it and we all decorated it. Only one small blister from the hot sugar Smiley The sign says Glass witch means Ice cream in English
The picture is also our Christmas card for this year so it says Merry Christmas in Swedish Smiley

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My crafty kids :) a penguin and remade lego figures on: December 16, 2012 01:57:16 AM
Daughter (12 years) has designed and sewn by hand, a penguin. It was intended as a Christmas gift to her new half-brother, but we agreed that it was not so safe for children. He gets it as a decoration for a start.

My son (9 years old) saw the movie about the five legends and when we got home the Lego figures had to be redone. He has just got a little help with Sandyman.

I wish I had half of their imagination Smiley

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: a hearty door decoration on: December 06, 2012 10:17:45 PM
God Jul from a Swedish-roots crafter!  Lovely door ornament.

Thanks and hope you have nice christmas with maybe some swedish traditions Wink

Lovely, what is the flower made from, leaves or something else?
I just know that it is some sort of shell from a nut, I have had it for several years saved from an old wreath. Thanks for the compliment Cheesy

Thank you I will tell here about your lovely comments.

I don't either understand why it is marked mature, but have asked help desk about it. Might be as Naantje says but it is just a name. That reminds me of a Swedish episode of Trinny and Susannah, one of the participants hade a name that Susannah hade a laugh about through the entire program Cheesy
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Newspaper basket for advent candles on: November 28, 2012 06:16:32 AM

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Newspaper basket for advent candles on: November 27, 2012 09:30:16 PM
Thanks so much!
I found pictures on how to roll newsprint on a Swedish site for preschoolers (http://skapverk.blogspot.se/ scroll down). You then attach a odd number of sticks plus one for weaving with between two cardboards. How to weave the basket I found when I searched for basket weaving on youtube. Think it was called something kind muffin basket, I have a different shape but the same principle.
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / My 12 year old daughter's version of Finn & Jake on: November 27, 2012 09:21:10 PM
I think my daughter is a much better craftsman than me, she amaze me. I don't understand how she makes these small clay versions of Jake and Finn. I had to get a photo and show you, hope you enjoy them just as much as I.
