1  Needle Roll for My Best Friend in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Cyndall on: September 30, 2008 07:34:16 PM
My best friend knits and crochets and loves all things halloween, so what better to make her than a halloween-y needle roll!?!

I got all the fabric for 30% off at Jo-Anns

The thread is color variegating!

Close up of the fabric

She adored it, I was so happy with her reaction, it was like getting a present myself!

2  My New Home in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Cyndall on: August 10, 2008 03:00:45 PM
I recently moved back in with my parents while I go through a divorce. We decided to make the room nice since I might be here a while Tongue I don't have a before picture, but .. well it was bad... really bad.

This is my new futon bed, and the cabinet that holds all my movies, and books. All the walls are a light pink color with the exception of the wall my bed is on which is white because my mother thinks the pink would have been to over powering...

This is the other side of my bed. The large grey drawers holds all my yarn, and the credenza that my tv (John and Kate +Eight was on) is on holds all my fabric (stuffed to the gills!!). This is the best picture I have of the floor. We tore out all of the carpet and painted it a putty sort of color. Then taped out large squares and then painted it again brown. Pulled up the tape and a few coats of sealer later, and I'm loving my floors! P.S. My dog Nimber wanted his picture taken, he's so spoiled.

This is my desk

And this is a close up of my desk.

A clear shot of my credenza.

The top of my credenza. Basically my perfume and sprays, my antique marbles in a vase, my various sunglasses, and a candy dish filled with semi-precious stones. A plant on top of my jewelery box, and a mug full of sand dollars

The shelf above my credenza. The poodles we're given to me by my great grandma after she passed away. They are a prized possession.

This is the top of my yarn storage drawers. The Buddah came from my late grandfather after he passed away. It was the only thing I was animate about having.

And last but not least my reading area! I love that green lamp that came from my grandma, but it needs some electrical work.

I got this picture frame a long time ago at a yard sale and just decided to decorate it when I saw Joann's had their buttons 50% off.

The cake itself is triple chocolate with cream cheese frosting. The doll came from my friend's husband's magic shop. On to the pictures!

6  Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Cyndall on: January 20, 2008 08:18:21 PM
Here are pictures of the things I sent to Crochetwitch

Crochetwitch said she really liked Hawaii and Pele so I kinda went with that. Here I embroidered a paleolithic goddess figure made to look like Pele with fiery hair she's holding a Hawaiian island.

I also made her an answer box. I decoupaged an island on this really cute box and inside are lots of answers to lives questions. The top was written in Hawaiian and the bottom was the English translation. All you had to do you was ask your question, give the box a shake and then pick your answer out of the box. I was calling it a Hawaiian Oracle box.

I also made her a purse. Jean on the outside and cute kitty witch fabric on the inside.

I also added a few various stones, some incense, beach sand (Californian not Hawaiian unfortunately) and the book Supermarket Sourcerous. I really hope she enjoyed her package.

I Received!! And oooh my do I have swappers anxiety now! My package from CrochetWitch is sooooooo awesome!

First off let me say I am seriously impressed. I didn't give her the easiest set of information to go off of, and I can't believe how wonderfully she brought my path into her gifts. Kudos to CrochetWitch for her obvious hard work, and serious thought about my path.

In my package were;

2 Hand Milled Soaps. They are soo beautiful, I can't wait to use them for rituals! Perfect way to set the mood.

A lovely bag of chamomile for the bath as well. I'm feeling pampered already!

A most luxurious crocheted washcloth in the shape of a triangle for Malkuth representing Earth. The colors are just perfect and man oh man it is sooo soft feeling. I can't wait to put it to good use!

An awesome alter cloth in a fall pattern along with a matching pouch that is the perfect size for some of my larger stones.

Three beautiful bracelets that will be perfect as spell reminders, chant counters, and various other things.

And a gorgeous hand bag! Seriously wow!

Thank you soooo much CrochetWitch for all of these beautiful gifts. I'm going to treasure them!

Here is a pic with everything together. The box it all came in is in the back. Can you believe even the postage box is pretty?

These are the awesome bracelets

Here are the soaps and the chamomile

And here is the beautiful bag she made me. The colors are spot on for my mundane wardrobe.

and last but not least here is the awesome washcloth. I can't believe how excited I am about a wash cloth, serious.

Thank you again CrochetWitch, I totally love it!

8  My Second Completed Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by Cyndall on: December 20, 2007 02:49:06 PM
The only thing I added that wasn't on the 'directions' were the ribbon tags. This was one of those fat quarter kits. I think it's cute! It's going to my little nephew Vinny.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE COMPLETE MESS OF MY HOUSE IN THE BACKGROUND. As I'm sure happens in a lot of Craftster homes, as soon as December hits its all craft and minimal clean!

9  My First Completed Quilt *image obese* in Quilting: Completed Projects by Cyndall on: December 20, 2007 09:27:02 AM
This is a Christmas present for my mom. She loooooves her doggies and so when I saw this set of fat quarters I knew I had to make something for her with them. So the quilt is the first one I've ever completed. The other one I started.. well it didn't really come together. Anywho this one came together great!!!
On the middle panel I add a little decoration with embroidery thread to one of each of the types of dogs. I think it adds a cute lil something. I really hope she likes it!!

10  I made a beanie and matching scarf! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Cyndall on: December 11, 2007 08:57:12 PM
Okay this is not genius sewing, but I'm just learning here people!!!

I dont know that you can really tell but this is black fabric with embossed spider webs on it.

On to the pictures!

This is a picture of the back of my head to show the seams

And here it is with the matching scarf! I used regular old black fleece to accompany on the scarf. These are for a guy, so black on black will be more than acceptable. Sorry for the super blurry pic, my hubby does not know how to take a decent picture.
