This is my first post to this board. I'm totally addicted to beads so you'll be seeing more of my work in the future. This is the necklace I made for the color of the month craft along. Hope you like it!

So I want to add some kind of felt applique to the shrug I am knitting. Does anyone know if just stitching it to the shrug with embroidery floss would work? It seems that it would work fine but I'd hate to ruin the peice I've spent so long knitting....

I really want to learn how to handspin. Like bad. Anyone have any experience spinning with any totally animal free fiber ( no wool, silk etc) that they'd like to pass on? Tips, books, websites, suppliers for fiber etc welcome. I keep looking but mostly I'm finding info for spinning at least part animal yarn and anyone I know that spins only does wool and they say it's a lot different.
