hi there-
thanks so much for the feedback!  the lamp base is actually (let me check Smiley ).........bronze.  ya, i'm not sure yet if i'll change the handles or not.  i'm just not a fan of that style.  i was looking into something more funky, with a nature theme.

hi-
i want to show off a thing or two i just completed........i just finished refinishing some very boring living room furniture.  i had one hell of time coming up with an idea for it, let me tell you!  i'll show before and after shots (I may still change the handles).

btw, i followed what seems to be a new trend these days in interior design......matching furniture color to the color of the walls.  personally i love this.  and i think it really works with the other pieces in the room...... a hope chest stained a natural walnut (which serves as a table), and a striped couch.

PS it seems i'm not allowed to post pics yet in posts, so i'm just posting links to the pics......sorry.

17  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / selling photos to scrapbook paper co.'s on: March 22, 2007 07:22:10 AM
hi there-
it has been suggested to me that i try selling some of my photos to scrapbook paper companies..... they use photos sometimes as designs for their paper.  anyway, the person who said this, thought my more abstract nature photos would appeal to some companies, but i never got the name of any companies from her to try.  i was wondering if anyone here could help me out with that.  thanks!!

20  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: ideas for sprucing up ugly ironing board cover on: October 04, 2006 10:16:08 AM
wow!  some cool ideas there. thanks.  i was trying to avoid the 'sewing thing" (cause i don't have a sewing machine) and hoping for an easier solution, but i suspected there wasn't one.  thanks for your reply.

hey!  what about using dyes?  i wonder if that could work somehow.  i've never worked with dyes so i have no idea.......i suppose you run the risk of the dye coming off and "leaking" into whatever you are ironing i bet.
