That is pretty damn cool & very original.
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: "Quills" Costume Design and MAJOR Recon *pics* on: June 14, 2007 02:02:14 PM
This is astonishing given the budget.  Such wonderful and authentic looking costumes.  I especially love the Regency style jacket (I can't remember what they were called then--redingote?)--I can totally see how you could do something similar with your average current-era blazer.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Ginkgo Tank - 1st Ever! on: June 08, 2007 08:39:48 AM
I've made a couple of purses and done some embellishment but I'd yet to make an article of clothing from scratch...until now!

I scanned McCalls and Simplicity for patterns but didn't see anything that exactly matched what I had in mind.  So I drafted a pattern using two tops I already own.  I wore it yesterday and, magically, it didn't fall apart!

So cute!  I love the fabric.  It's unexpected and very cool.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: patron saint of sews-a-whole-lot! on: June 05, 2007 08:18:31 AM
I especially love that roses purse.  I was just thinking this morning that I need to incorporate chain into a handle at some point.
7  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: Payless Maryjanes to MJ-inspired pumps. First post and slightly image-plump! on: June 05, 2007 08:15:25 AM
So frickin' cute.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Fat Guy in Little Coat on: June 05, 2007 08:13:13 AM
This looks like a breeze compared to some of the knitted coats I've seen.  So sweet with the name on it & everything!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Decoupage Luggage for decorative storage on: May 30, 2007 10:39:49 AM
This is gorgeous.  I often see old Samsonite in usually fugly colors.  I'll have to rethink passing them by.

I love how the plant looks like it just keeps going.  Very cool.
