Thanks so much everyone for the great feedback!

yeah, i really like this. what kind of stitching - serge then zigzag??

I zigzag stitched all the ties to eachother and I used a serger to finish any raw edges.

I adore it! I know what you mean though, sometimes you work on something for just enough time that when you are done with it, you really dont know. And I am horrible about picking my stuff apart and finding every little imperfection possible, ones that the normal person wouldnt even notice.... keep up the excellent work!

That's exactly what happened.  I do that all the time its good to know I'm not the only one. Smiley

I made a necktie purse but can't decide if I like it.
Here are some pics let me know what you think.

(The red penguin tie can also be a drawstring)

I found the penguin tie at salvation army it was so cute and random I just had to use it.

Thanks

7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Cobweb headpiece on: March 09, 2009 02:23:41 PM
OK so my dance studio is doing "A Midsummer Nights Dream" for our big production this year and one of my parts is the fairy cobweb and I really wanted to make a head piece to go with the costume.   I have an idea of what I want it to look like (Ill post a pic below) but I'm having trouble finding something to make it out of that will be seen form a distance.  I tried wire but It was hard to see, I thought maybe beads but if anyone had a better idea it would be much appreciated.  The costume is a black and purple tutu with a purple bodice.

Something like this(hope it makes sense)

If you have any ideas or questions let me know.

Thanks!!!
