21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Nightmare Before Christmas Calender Cards on: July 26, 2013 09:58:00 PM
I used a bunch of the preview squares from the back cover of a 2010 Nightmare Before Christmas calender to make notecards.

I think the Sally and Dr Finkelstien one is my favourite, because I had papers that matched Sally's dress to do the side with.  Smiley
22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Work My Theme ATC round 3 on: July 11, 2013 11:41:42 PM
A link to the last round: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410661.0#axzz2YoJokX9b

Basically, a small groups swap to get those last few ATCs for your themed sets. And of course making ATCs for other people's themed sets.

It's been about a year since the last, and I'd love to do a third round.

1 flaker

You'll need to make 8 cards (with envelopes) that are at least 5x3.75 (the size of Michael's clearance cards).

Kbrison's sign-up:
Favorite colors: Blue, purple, green, cream, white, black, silver
Favorite paper crafting techniques to use: embossing (all styles), layering, die-cutting
Favorite paper crafting techniques to receive: prefer clean, simple lines in any technique (Not a big fan of shabby chic or steam punk both are too fussy for my tastes)
Themes you might like to receive (flowers, robots, etc): Anything involving nature, architectural elements, love texture
Any special holidays or sayings you would like? ("Happy Birthday", "Thanks for Swapping", etc): Thanks, Thank You, Get Well, Congratulations, Thinking of You (for friends not family), blank
Would you like to receive additional cards if your partner is so inclined? That would be loverly, but not necessary (unless, of course, the craft fairy sprinkles you with tons of inspiration dust. In that case it would be rather unkind of me to tell the fairy to go away, now wouldnt it?)
Anything else you would like your partners to know? My Crafts-paper folder on pinterest may give you a better idea of things I like. www.pinterest.com/ancientofdays

25  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mismatched Butterfly Necklaces on: April 27, 2013 03:57:36 PM
I started with a set of green butterfly earrings, and decided to make them mismatched necklaces. I think it makes for a Best Friends Forever effect without making them two halves of a heart.

Crystal and chunky chain:

Triangle charm (another earring) and normal square chain:

Details of swap:
I love having cute cards to send with swap packages, add to gifts, or perhaps just to use at art and frame or stick on my french memo board and admire! This should be a fairly simple swap and I think that 3 weeks is more than enough time to craft. Shipping should also be fairly cheap.

Groups will be made up of 3 people, so you will be sending to 2 partners within your group. Send at least 8 cards to each of 2 partners, that is a total of 16 cards. Cards should be at least 5 x 3.75 inches, (the size of Michael's clearance cards if you want to repurpose their envelopes) but can be bigger. All 8 cards should have an envelope.

29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Chinese New Year Altered Puzzle on: February 20, 2013 02:58:19 PM
The Chinese New Year has twelve animals; snake, rabbit, goat, horse, dog, ox, dragon, monkey, rat, tiger, pig, rooster. It also has five elements; fire, water, wood, earth, metal. I placed them all at random, on pieces that seemed to "fit".

Overall (it's about 12 inches by 8 inches) puzzle:

30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pride bracelet on: January 29, 2013 09:43:35 PM
So I originally made this for the I Made A Thing challenge on dreamwidth, in which you show off your fandom in a way that's not art, fic, or podficcing. I picked bandom, and more specifically, a lyric from a Fall Out Boy song. I was going to just keep it there, but on a different thread here I saw someone use the phrase 'that's gay', and so now I'm being passive aggressive by uploading this. I plan to wear it to my next few big family events, as I've worn my knitted gay pride bracelets to them for years now, and they're getting boring.

This is the finished product:

The top half is what it looked like when I was finished stamping it. The bottom half is my first attempt at dyeing it. I made it too dark. Thankfully it's a waterbased dye, so I just got the leather wet and dabbed at it with a paper towel, and some of the colour leeched off.

Obligatory action shot:
