3  COOKING / Dessert / Cupcakes inspired by a Guinness mixed drink! on: September 17, 2010 10:53:34 PM
So my Mom sent me a link of the top 50 cupcake recipes on the internet so logically I have to make all of them. I started with the Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes. For those of you who don't know what a car bomb is it is a drink where you take a Guinness and add a shot glass filled half way with Bailey's and the other half with Jameson's whiskey.  Once you drop the shot glass into the Guinness you have to drink it real fast or otherwise the beer will curdle.  nasty, but with a cupcake you don't have this nasty problem.

Here is a link to the 50 Best Cupcakes on the Internet

6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Fiber Friday Funness!!! August 6, 2010 on: August 06, 2010 09:42:53 AM
I have two things to share this week.

here is some 2ply 50% tencel & 50% Merino (not the best representation of color it should be a very bright pink):

this is a WIP from some handspun I posted a few weeks ago:

I can't wait to see what everyone else has been up to this week.

@shootenanny I'm making a very simple raglan sweater and I will post pictures asap! It will be my first large item knitted completely out of hand spun.  I have always ended up using some commercial yarn in the past but this is 100% handmade.

@belladune: thanks!! I always love your stuff it's always so creative and colorful

YAY for Friday!!!!! BOO for pictures being taken at midnight so no natural light oh well...

Corriedale mix - I'm spinning and knitting this yarn at the same time so I spin some and then knit it the same day.

Everyone has shared lovely yarns as always.
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Fiber in London? on: June 01, 2010 11:53:30 PM
I am going on a family tip to London here in about a week and I was wondering if anyone knows of any must see fiber related places to visit. I would love to find at lest one fun shop to go to. Any tips would be helpful!

Thanks Friends!
