Hey there, after seeing quite a few double knit scarves and things in the completed projects section, I was wondering if anyone would want to join a double knit knitalong with me! It can be any item - hat, scarf..

I'm working on a double knit houndstooth scarf right now and it's going very sl-o-o-o-wly. I'd love some company  Smiley Plus I bet I'm doing some stuff wrong since this is my first time double knitting.

Hey everyone! (: I'm going to embark on a mission to knit a doubleknit scarf for my brother (er another project to add to the pile of.. eleventyhundred existing projects). Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good and cheap 8-ply/doubleknit yarn? I need it in black and white/cream/natural.

Ooh sorry forgot to mention that I'm from Melbourne. I was lookin at shepherd colour-4-me yarn, but if I'm gonna make a scarf (a doubleknit one at that) and at $4 a ball it'll be a.. $40 scarf?!! The only cheap DK yarn I know of is the Lincraft acrylic ones that are $2 a ball and I'm not overly fond of scratchy acrylic. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much (:

I've never sewn a dress before, I've used a sewing machine probably less than 10 times and I normally hand sew everything that I need to. So I must be *CRAZY* in thinking "OMG that'll make the perfect little-black-dress, must have it NOW"

The dress is made from taffeta and that's about all the information I could glean from the BCBG website =\ oh well. I could gush about this dress for forever. (:

Any ideas on the construction? There aren't any images of the back, but I wouldn't want the back to be ruched as well. Hope you guys can see the picture, it's my first time trying to stick a picture on here.

Hi everyone, have a few questions here.. my brother has recently asked me to knit him a scarf in a houndstooth pattern. Now, to make it reversible it will have to be a tubular knit, and cos it's houndstooth it will have to be knit fair isle.

I guess it'll look a bit like this one from mark's and spencer, cept without the awful white fringe (maybe both black and white will look better) http://www.marksandspencer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=9290&Product_Id=2161835

Here's my question: Anyone know how many skeins of yarn/how much yardage that would take? By intuition it sounds like I'll need FOUR TIMES the amount of yarn needed for a normal scarf! Anyone else knitted a fair isle scarf before?
