2  old work pants to gaming pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LadyLuigi on: April 18, 2008 05:18:53 PM
my friend is really rough on his work pants, and these puppies were split right up the leg. I was so relieved when he finally gave them up (seriously, packaging tape running up the leg to keep it together?!), but i knew how sad he was to see them go...SO i cut them up and turned them into a pillowcase for a "gaming pillow". He's always got to have a pillow in his lap to rest his arms on when he's playing video games (i dont know if this is a common thing). Im happy with how it turned out, even though im terrible at sewing...the end of the pillow sticks out a bit, but i like the effect. And all of the tiny rips let the pattern on the pillow peek through; pulls it all together. Anyway, i havent given it to him yet, i hope he likes it Smiley

sorry...i went kind of camera-happy...

3  World Domination! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by LadyLuigi on: March 25, 2008 03:46:59 PM
I'm sure most of you recognize this little guy. I made him today in between loads of laundry. He's one of my favorite characters, and my friend does a killer impression (so i gave it to him). He was made with a size H hook, and he stands almost 5 inches tall (minus antennae). His arms and antennae are pipe cleaners wrapped in yarn (so you can pose him!)
