3  Learning to sew: Baby Blankets in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by Molliemoo2883 on: August 04, 2012 10:16:44 PM
I've been trying to learn how to sew. I have dreams of being great but right now I am still on the basics (sewing square 1 to square 2) and this is what I've got so far... I saw a tutorial for these on Pinterest and loved them. Lucky for me basically everyone I know is pregnant. The first one was my test and the second one was for my boyfriends cousin (That's Ruby posing for scale) . I'm very proud of them and I'm holding on to the first one. I almost held on to the second one because I LOVED the print on the fabric but I do have enough to make a second one. Of course, I am not pregnant so I can hardly justify making a baby blanket for myself. The first is flannel and the second is fleece. I basically just hit up joanns odds and ends section and buy any flannel or fleece that I see and at this point I have alot! Thanks for looking!

I made a Zombie Gingerbread man around Christmas and loved him so much that I decided to make a zombie penguin. I work in a pottery painting shop so I get to play with the pottery painting. Hope you like them. I'm thinking a Zombie Hippo next.

I know there was a pasties swap in the past. Anyone interested in a round 2? We make a couple of pairs, maybe three? Anyone? We could even make it an all around Burlesque swap.

9  Felted Peacock feather in Felting: Completed Projects by Molliemoo2883 on: July 24, 2011 05:33:23 PM
 Hi everybody!

First time posting in almost a year!  Long story short: I got bored one night. Was watching TV and started felting. I've been obsessed with Peacocks lately so I went for a Peacock feather. I'm thinking of adding beads but I really love how it looks. It's small but it's going to be a wall hanging. Enjoy!

At the beginning:

Half way done:

I wanna say the whole thing took about 3 hours. It might have been less.

10  My summer project: Bubble Art! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Molliemoo2883 on: September 05, 2010 09:37:23 PM
It has been a long time since I posted but I am excited to present what I have been working on this summer. Now really, this should have and could have only taken me a weekend but since my summer was busy and long I just worked on it when I had the time. The concept came from the house of a friend of the child I babysit for. I saw it and instantly fell in love with it and the little girl informed me that the pieces are movable because the whole thing is magnetic. Which means the way the piece looks changes all the time which is kind of Awesome. I was also informed by the babysitter that it was custom made and VERY expensive which I didn't understand since it's so simple. So I said, I can make that for less then $50. So I did. I had the paint so all I did was buy a smaller metal white bored at Ikea for $20 and got some round discs 1 1/2 and 2 inches and painted them. I kept used Blue, orange, green and yellow since that's what I had the most colors of and they match my room. I might add colors later on. The original piece had more colors but it was also larger. Each dot got 2 to 4 coats of paint with sanding in between. Then they were modpodged and sprayed with acrylic spray. I'm planning to make one for a friend for Christmas using rainbow colors. I am so proud of how it came out and I can't wait to hang it up. Here it is, my Bubble Art:

And here is the original: I wrote a more detailed account of it's making on my blog. I hope you like it!
