i have been really down about some stuff lately, and art is always my outlet.  i did this one today.  its mixed media on a canvas board 8 " x 11 ".  please let me know what you think. criticisms are welcome!

i'm really excited for that movie too! although im going to wait until its out on dvd....i cant stand the movie theater.

i am so excited about this page. i watched the movie neverwas last night. if you havent seen it yet i strongly recommend it! its on the instant feature of netflix if you use that.  anyway, i was so inspired that i had to create a page for it....and here it is.....

so i made a page using a bunch of my thrift store finds fromt today. i am in love with this green tassle

i was going to wait until tomorrow to post pics so that i could get better light, but the sun really hasnt been coming out during the day, so i figured i might as well post now.  dizzer---if you have better pictures, please post them. mine havent done the lovely items justice.

so the big project, a very cute doll with two wigs. we're going to send her back and forward in the future so dizzerspinninround can make her a wardrobe. she is made so well! she also came with a little chair to sit in!  there is also a cute little box filled with fun sewing stuff. a mini top hat headband, two gorgeous hair bows, a brush roll (i love it and very much needed one!) and 3 very cute flower hair pins.

so i was going to wait until i finished some other crafts before i did another page, but crafty things will happen as they please....so i made another one tonight.



i sewed it back to back with the first page i made....it altered the first one a little, so here it is now

when i sat down to make this, i had in mind finding a small jewelry box that belonged to a great great aunt while she was young and in love with a soldier away at war.

the secret inside, hidden by the picture is a necklace, ring, key, and a stack of love notes.  i made each envelope, and each one has a letter inside.

i have been incredibly inspired by the artfest fiber fat book. its made of 4"x4" quilt squares that are very much like an altered journal. i'm not a huge sewer, but i wanted to make my own, and i thought you might like to join me.

i made this mini crown for the lolita swap. it was my first time trying anything like this so i'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  let me know what you think! good or bad

that apron is just perfect!!

i received from sevsonlygirl!!!  i'm so excited!  she sent me two beautiful embroidered pillowcases from my wists. it was only her second embroidery project, and i think she did great!  they are so cute, and my husband likes them too.




she also sent me a ton of goodies. hand made lotion bars, chapsticks, and lip balms. i tried the peppermint chapstick and it feels amazing! theres also stickers, glow in the dark fangs, fabric crayons and a box filled with great whimsies!
