2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry Shoes! on: August 13, 2009 06:17:51 PM

So.. the idea came from seing this guy with Sailor Jerry chucks. Since I don't have that much to spend on shoes (and one most likely couldn't get those from Finland) I had to get crafty. The pattern for the skully cherries is from Urban Threads .

It's painfully obvious, that I was in a hurry stitching these to the shoes. I'm at my mom's now, but when I get home I'm gonna finish them up with fabric glue.

Be aware of the comments section on wists, someone might add something and you go to make it, but didnt notice in their comments that they would only want that item in a different color.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.  PLEASE SEND YOUR PM TO torrance WITH YET ANOTHER TATTOO SWAP IN THE SUBJECT LINE. THANK YOU!

Okay, here we go.  Please check in with your partner if you have any questions.  When it gets time to send out, you must send a pm to both me (the organizer) AND your partner with the Delivery confirmation number (or copy of mailing reciept for those of you international participants for whom delivery confirmation is not available).  And again, you are required to check in via pm (to me) OR post to the thread at least once a week.  I will be keeping track.  Communication is key to a successful swap.  Okay! I was in a bit o a earring kick this afternoon. Just made some simple earrings out of some scrapbooking stuff I got at a craft store.

These I'm going to keep for myself

And these I'm going to give away as presents for my friends. The lighthouse one is going to a friend with a lighthouse tattoo (among others)

I love them. Cute and simple, just like me. Haha.

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Lamp Shade on: June 11, 2009 08:17:41 AM

I made a lampshade using scrapbooking paper, some recycled paper that I painted with water colours, two metal rings and yarn.

I think it came out fairly cute, but unfortunately it doesn't go well with my apartment.. Especially shame since I spend over 6 hours making it.

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Skull Candy! on: June 04, 2009 10:25:25 AM

I don't remember when I started it, but let's just say it wasn't stitched in a day. I had to include an "in progress" shot 'cos the piece just lookes way cooler in it. The awesome pattern is from Urban Threads.

I used split stitch, back stitch and satin stitch on it. I framed the finished piece and gave it to my friends who are a couple. They both have dia de los muertos style tattoos so I figured it would be fitting.

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Play Safe! on: June 04, 2009 10:17:00 AM

I made this for a friend who ..mmm.. likes to get around. And I want to make sure that he's safe out there. It's going to have either a snap closure or a little piece of velcro (wich ever I find first in this mess). I figured those would be the simplest to operate, 'cos lets face it he's not like a rocket scientist. Not to mention that in a situation where he needs to open this pouch (quickly) there is most likely not goin to be all that much blood pumping through his brain..

The little condom embroidery is hand embroidered by me and the pattern for the embroidery is drawn by me too.
