1  Re: Yet Another Tattoo Swap (Sign-ups CLOSED, Send-outs September 18th) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by torrance on: August 30, 2009 10:15:03 AM
Still alive and crafting. School is just taking a lot of my time right now. So I'll most likely be sending very close to the send out date!

My two darling tattoos:

I also have wings on the back of my ankles. And a MISTAKE on my upper back that I'm having covered REALLY SOON!

How soon you ask me??!! A WEEK FROM NOW!! I got an appointment with my tattoo artist on a week and a half's notice since I was willing to get tattooed at a tattoo convention. Usually it's atleast 3month's wait. With that short of a wait I don't care if he'd deside to tattoo me in the middle of town square!

What am I getting?? The most beautiful tattoo anyone has ever seen Wink Crafting related. You'll see it when it's done. I don't care if you want to or not. Hehe.

2  Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry Shoes! in Needlework: Completed Projects by torrance on: August 13, 2009 06:17:51 PM

So.. the idea came from seing this guy with Sailor Jerry chucks. Since I don't have that much to spend on shoes (and one most likely couldn't get those from Finland) I had to get crafty. The pattern for the skully cherries is from Urban Threads .

It's painfully obvious, that I was in a hurry stitching these to the shoes. I'm at my mom's now, but when I get home I'm gonna finish them up with fabric glue.

I'm a lipbalm addict, and I'm sure a lot of you are. I always need to have one on me, so I've made a few of these in the past. This one being the newest.

*hook: 2mm
*yarn: novita kotivki
*you'll also need a keyring and a button

I wrote up something of a tutorial (with pics) and it can be found here

I was in a bit o a earring kick this afternoon. Just made some simple earrings out of some scrapbooking stuff I got at a craft store.

These I'm going to keep for myself

And these I'm going to give away as presents for my friends. The lighthouse one is going to a friend with a lighthouse tattoo (among others)

I love them. Cute and simple, just like me. Haha.

7  Lamp Shade in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by torrance on: June 11, 2009 08:17:41 AM

I made a lampshade using scrapbooking paper, some recycled paper that I painted with water colours, two metal rings and yarn.

I think it came out fairly cute, but unfortunately it doesn't go well with my apartment.. Especially shame since I spend over 6 hours making it.

8  Skull Candy! in Needlework: Completed Projects by torrance on: June 04, 2009 10:25:25 AM

I don't remember when I started it, but let's just say it wasn't stitched in a day. I had to include an "in progress" shot 'cos the piece just lookes way cooler in it. The awesome pattern is from Urban Threads.

I used split stitch, back stitch and satin stitch on it. I framed the finished piece and gave it to my friends who are a couple. They both have dia de los muertos style tattoos so I figured it would be fitting.

9  Play Safe! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by torrance on: June 04, 2009 10:17:00 AM

I made this for a friend who ..mmm.. likes to get around. And I want to make sure that he's safe out there. It's going to have either a snap closure or a little piece of velcro (wich ever I find first in this mess). I figured those would be the simplest to operate, 'cos lets face it he's not like a rocket scientist. Not to mention that in a situation where he needs to open this pouch (quickly) there is most likely not goin to be all that much blood pumping through his brain..

The little condom embroidery is hand embroidered by me and the pattern for the embroidery is drawn by me too.

10  Little Denim Hearts in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by torrance on: April 30, 2009 02:27:33 AM
My niece is having a birhtday party this weekend and she asked me to make little surprises to the guests. What's an aunt to do?

I cut out some old jeans and made the girls little key chains. All the hearts have a little patch in them that has the recipients initial stamped on it. There's one for the birthday girl too. The one with the O. In the pictures the key chains didn't have keyrings yet, 'cos I bought those on the way to the post office.
