11  Blythe dresses yay! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by sarahpanda on: September 08, 2008 07:29:08 AM
These take me a long time to make because I don't have the manual dexterity to use the sewing machine with such tiny pieces! The patterns are either xoxoBlythe or Orrietacat, depending upon the dress.

"A Little Birdie Told Me"

"Icing on the Cake," made with the daintiest vintage lace!

"Starry Night"

And this one was probably my favorite:

I wish I had more of this burgundy fabric left, it's so pretty!

Okay craftster is finally working, so here are pics of the awesome swap package beckster sent me! We decided to make three medium items.

Here's everything:

A cute but ravenous zombie bunny:

A moldy cupcake pin cushion:

A side view to show off the moldy tumor:

And my favorite, a wall hanging that I will have to hang in my kitchen:

I am so impressed by beckster's stitching--it's so perfect!!

OMG the bunny of deeeeeeeeeath!

Thank you Beckster!!!!

13  Mr. Funky's Elephant--in Red! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by sarahpanda on: August 12, 2007 02:56:12 PM
I made this little guy Friday night/Saturday morning for a 4-year-old's birthday. Luckily, I prepared myself for the tantrum that resulted from the gift--"What is it? I don't want it!" *throws toy on ground*--so I didn't mind. I had a good time making it and the kid's mom appreciated it. She said she thought it was so cute that she was going to keep it for herself!

Pattern is from "Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful" by Narumi Ogawa, a really great crochet book.

I'm so glad Clover liked everything! That picture of her with the turtle squeaky toy is classic, I love it! It makes me happy to see her using the stuff I made, yay!

And yes, the little tote bag is for poop baggies or treats or whatever Clover wants to carry with her while she's out and about. Feel free to cut the handle and add a button so you can put it on and off her leash more easily--I sewed down the second end of the handle and then realized it would make it hard to use! d'oh!  Oh and make sure to wash that bowl before you use it, I didn't wash it in case you wanted to add anything to it (hence the special markers).

Angel LOVES everything she got! Here are some pictures:

Needless to say, the treats are Angel's favorite item, but I love love love the daisy dress and the little yellow necklace. I want to take her to a garden party in them, they're way too cute to be real! We also got a vacation shirt, a sweater with adorable girly ruffles, a bunch of hair clips and buttons (I've been wearing the one with Angel on it!), a handy little wall hook for Angel's harness, an AWESOME double-sided blanket, two necklaces...we are really spoiled! Thank you Val!!!!

Shmoopy came home on Monday! He returned with some badass loot and an adorable photo album. Thanks for showing him such a good time Raquel!

The Shmoopster with his souvenirs.

The tiny Mexican blanket and hat? Adorable.

It's a milk carton--no, it's a radio! Awesome!

My favorite album page, made by Raquel's little sister. Holy cute Batman!

I'm so jealous, Shmoopy got to go to the Carlsbad Caverns!

Here he is at the Mexican border.

And here's my adorable dog showing off the awesome purse Raquel sent. I love bags, I can never have enough of them! It will be great for attending summer festivals!

Thanks Raquel! And thanks to the organizer too!

Okay here are some pictures of my baby who is signed up for this swap:

That last is my all-time favorite photo of Angel. She looks different in each pic because her fur is different lengths depending upon how recently she went to the groomer! There are more (and infinitely better, because they were taken with an actual digital camera) pics of her here, in my gallery:

And if anyone else is allergic to cats, please let the organizer know so she can pair us together. Thanks!

I just got an incredible swap package from Joslynn. I am supposed to be walking out the door right now to go out of town for the weekend, but I have the time to load a few pictures. Sorry, no captions! Joslynn feel free to add some photos if you have better ones! (Everyone please ignore the bits of paper, in my enthusiasm I opened the box upside down and the paper got everywhere...lol!)

THANK YOU JOSLYNN!! You were an awesome swap partner!

Okay well I'm finally posting pictures of Isis the Bunny:

She popped out of her box with a look of relief, ID clutched in her little paw!

Naturally, Angel had to inspect the newcomer to give her the Sniff of Approval. Fortunately, Isis was deemed acceptable and permitted to stay.

And this is a teaser for Raquel. We took Isis out to dinner and of course, she wanted to look at the drink selection!

<3, Sarah
