Details of swap:

You must be pre-approved for this swap! Do not post your list until I say you are approved! Thanks.

Person A puts a list together of all the books that they would like to recieve, there must be atleast 5 books (with a picture link or a link to a website that has the book if possible). You can wish for as many books as you want, as long as there is five.

Then Person B will read your list, if they have a book/magazine they can send you, they will reply to the thread and say "I claim Person A for The Best Book in the World" or something off of their wishlist. When they reply, they will also include their swap status (0 claimed, 0 sent, 0 recieved).  IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS (your number of claims) WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!

Then, Person B will post their wish list, and the chain continues.

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last list should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides they have something they can send you.

You have two weeks to get your claim sent. Since we don't have to craft anything, this is plenty of time to send it out. Bookmarks are not required, but are encouraged!

You can participate as many times as you want but no person can "owe" more than 3 things at a time.

PLEASE LIST YOUR COUNTRY at the beginning of your list!

LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE!

.

Other Swap Conditions:

You MUST get Delivery Confirmation (DC#) on all of your packages (If you are outside of the US, DCs are not required, but keep your receipt)!! This is a requirement for this swap. If you can not or are not willing to get DCs, DO NOT SIGN UP! If you don't get them, I will give you positive feedback with a comment like "Not willing to get DCs" which could hurt your ability to sign up for other swaps. I know this all seems a bit harsh but getting Delivery Confirmation really makes the swapping experience a happier one for everybody!

Additional Rules (borrowed from various organizers):
1. If this is your first swap please read: (http://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html) to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.
2. Please bookmark this thread or post here. All updates will be made here and this will help you to keep up with everything.
3. I will give detailed feedback (other than positive/negative) if any of the following apply:
-  Great Swapper: For those who follow all the rules.
-  Good/poor communication:  Went above or below the call of duty to keep the organizer informed.
-  Sent late/early: Three or more days late or early.
-  No dc number: Failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country.
4. PM me and your partner with your DC number when you send. PM me and your partner when you receive, and please thank your partner.

Things happen: if for any reason you need an extension, please let me and your partner know via PM. That way I will know that you are not flaking and you will not receive negative feedback.

When you send, you must:
1. PM princesskaos15, the organizer
2. PM your partner
3. Include the DC#, if you are inside the US.

When you receive, you must:

3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Easy, Kid Friendly Recipe Ideas? on: July 18, 2007 09:52:57 PM
Next week I'll be babysitting my niece and two nephews all week, from 7 AM to 5, 6, or 7 PM, depending what day.

I won't need any dinner ideas, as my sister-in-law will take care of that, but I will need some breakfast, luch, and snack ideas.

Usually, they have a very light breakfast, if anything at all. But I always make them breakfast, so they'll be expecting it. For lunch, they always ask for chicken nuggets, but since I have a rule that everyone must eat the same thing (including me, this is because my oldest nephew is extremely picky, and we're trying to get him out of the habit of refusing to eat what everyone else is eating), I'm really getting tired of that. Lunch is fairly big, as they wake up extremely early, and they'll ask for all kinds of snacks before dinner if it isn't. As far as snacks, they eat gummy snacks, or something along those lines.

I want some healthy, yummy, recipes. Time isn't really an issue, but the easier the better.

They have no allergies. Branson (the oldest nephew) will not eat green beans, doesn't matter how much coaxing, it won't happen. Samantha (the oldest) won't eat peanut butter, so there goes all the easy peasy recipes, I'm sure.  Wink

Ages are 6, 4, and 2.

Thanks!!

Details of swap:
This is an earring swap. You will be making as many pairs of earrings as you like & you will receive the same amount in return. You will send each pair to a different person. You can be as creative as you like, and chose your kind of style and colours you wear. This will be very interesting if we get people from all over so you will have very nice earrings in return. 6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Cars (the movie) 2nd Birthday on: July 12, 2007 01:42:21 PM
My nephew's (Kody) 2nd birthday was on the 7th of this month. My brother and sister-in-law decided not to have a party for some reason unknown to the rest of the family. After all of the grandparents raised heck about it, asking if they could throw him one, and being turned down, I finally asked, and they said I could!

So, now I need a little help. I have a place for the party, the theme is Cars (the movie), and his birthday cake is being made by his Nana, who does that professionally.

What I need to know is what kind of decorations I can make, and food that would be good. I know we're having hamburgers and hotdogs, but I was wanting some kind of something that could go with the theme.

 Any ideas? Thank you!

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Cheer up/I love you/Remember When gift? on: June 26, 2007 06:41:02 PM
My dad has been pretty sick, off and on, and I've been thinking a lot about what could happen. My sister has been being a jerk to him lately, and so has his work, and he's just been really down and depressed.
So, I want to make something to cheer him up. Something that says, no matter what, I love you, and I'm here for you. Just something to tell him that everything will be okay.
I also want to make both him and my mom a book full of questions of their past, so that years later I can read them to my grandkids and so on. I'm having trouble coming up with questions, though. Any ideas?

Also, about my dad:

His name is Ronnie. He was born and raised in Tennesse. He loves to talk! Seriously, he can talk your ear off. He's one of the best men you could ever meet, and I've been told this by a lot of people. He loves anything that will start a conversation. He has 4 grandkids, one he doesn't get to see often, but he loves them all. He likes gardening, though he hasn't been able to do much of it lately. That's really all I can think of at the moment.

Thanks!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Letter Wall Hanger on: June 25, 2007 10:30:26 PM
So, I was looking around the baby thread for ideas on what I could make for an upcoming baby shower, and I found this thread. I thought they were so adorable, and decided that I had to try it!
Here's what I came up with:

At the time I bought the letters, I didn't know how they were going to spell her name, but I did know it was going to either start with a "C" or "K" so I bought both of those, and decided to buy the rest later. But now I think I'll just stick to the first letter. What do you think? Is that enough for a gift?

The Butterfly was added in that paticular spot because I kind of messed up there, does it look okay? Should I add anything else, or no? I do plan on adding a ribbon to hang it up with...

Thanks! Grin
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / prom bouquet and boutineer on: May 15, 2007 10:09:07 PM
my cousin called me the night before prom asking me to make her a bracelet to go with her jewelry for prom. i agreed, thinking a bracelet wouldn't take any time at all, and i was honored she asked me to make her one!
well, the next thing i know, i've been talked into making her a bouquet, a boutineer for her date, and a bracelet. and, of course, she wanted real flowers. i have never in my life attempted to do anything with flowers besides plant them and take pictures of them, but i told her i'd try my best. so, after many hours of work, 4 broken roses, a

she loved them! and i was so proud. the boutineer held up all night, but the bouquet started wilting by the end of her photoshoot. those pictures up there are by me.
