1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Felty Teacup Succulents on: March 21, 2014 03:11:00 PM
Hi everyone!

Lately I've been finding a ton of pretty single teacups, but am not a tea drinker at all... Soooo, I decided to make felt cactus and succulent terrariums out of them. I've been giving them to friends who are lacking in the green thumb department (me included! haha).  They're a great way to use to use up my felt scraps too.

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Billie Holiday stuffie! on: October 24, 2013 02:51:37 PM
Hey everyone!
I've been having a hard go at finding time to do crafting lately, but I finally got around to finishing my newest stuffie, Billie Holiday!

I copied her outfit from a set of pictures that were shoulder up and thought the bottom part of the dress would be black for some reason... Then I stumbled upon a photo that showed the other half. It was white too! Oh well!

Thanks for looking!

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Newest History stuffie: Jackie Kennedy! on: May 22, 2013 01:01:31 PM
Hi!
Here's my newest historically based stuffie, Jacqueline Kennedy! So far, she's the most modern figure I've done, aside from a characters from tv shows, and she's quickly becoming one of my favorites!

You can't really see, but she has a matching pink pillbox hat too!

Hey everyone!
Here's my newest in a collection of historical stuffies!  I was originally going to do a Victorian doll, but got lost in the annals of historical portraits on pinterest.... i got snookered by costume lust!

I wanted to do a bit more beading, but my bead stash is dangerously low. Oh well, next time Cheesy

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / new history stuffies! Zelda Fitzgerald and Van Gogh! on: April 01, 2013 06:36:53 PM
Hi everyone!

I made up two new historical stuffy art dolls recently!

I've been trying to get into making more female dolls, since I love the clothes so much! I've been doing lots of research on the 20s lately and thought Zelda would be fun to make.

While I was searching for images of Zelda, I kept running across the same portrait of Vincent Van Gogh from 1889 and found I had a bit of felt left that was just the right color for his suit. He's always been one of my favorite artists, so why the hell not!? Cheesy

I'm going to add something to the back, but I haven't decided on what yet... maybe an apple?

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / BBC Sherlock's Forgot His Pants on: January 29, 2013 01:16:29 PM
Hi everyone! Cheesy

I started rewatching the last series of BBC Sherlock again. Oh no! The agony! That can only lead to exorcising said agony out through crafts! haha
John Watson's famous Buckingham Palace quip in wall hanging form!
I was having a hard time figuring out how to finish off the back, but finally decided on the ashtray Sherlock yoinked from the palace. Then I had to figure out how to get the royal logo onto felt! Argh! Anyway, it worked out eventually!
