11  Lewis and Clark, Tesla, Marat- A ton of History Stuffies! {image heavy} in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by cigarettesandvalentines on: December 21, 2012 06:31:30 PM
Hey everyone,

I love history as much as I love felty stuffies, so I combined the two! Cheesy

Alexander Hamilton!

William Clark!

Maximilien Robespierre!

Jean Paul Marat!

Nikola Tesla!

To be honest, making their tiny clothes is the most fun! And since it's felt, no worries about fraying! haha!

I'm a member of a club on Tumblr of history fans called the History Peeps, and I made these merit badges for the group! Each one is based on the special interest of a member (or me haha)

13  Eleventh Doctor and History Nerd Felty Phone Cases!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cigarettesandvalentines on: December 21, 2012 06:14:49 PM
A while back I had a ton of felt left over from making felty stuffies and decided to whip up some cases for my phone while catching up on Doctor Who! I ended up making another based on the Corps of Discovery uniform for my friend who is in love with Lewis and Clark. A weird combo, I know. I've also been working on some BBC Sherlock ones... I can't stop! They're so quick and fun!

The sash is removable!

Thanks for looking Cheesy

14  Help! Beatles Diptych in Needlework: Completed Projects by cigarettesandvalentines on: November 20, 2011 07:47:05 PM
I started this waaaaaaay back when I saw the diptych Hoopla swap going on here (waaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaay back!), but over the past year or so, I lost it and found it about three times before finally finishing it today!

The scarves are embroidered and the guys themselves are felt appliqued on. Sorry for the sort of blurry photo. My lighting situations leave much to be desired  Cheesy

Hey guys!
It's been a long time since I've posted, but here's a Napoleon stuffie I made a few months back, based loosely on the style of Kate Beaton's Hark A Vagrant comics

Lyrics from the Lonely Island's I'm on a Boat feat. T-Pain (people still remember that song right? Right?!) combined with vintage sailor patterns from the Hoop Love group on flickr!  I saved a few other patterns from that collection  and was going to do more lyrics, but never got around to using them. I still want to, though!

Hi!

i did this for the Feeling Stitchy march stitch along.  The transfer pen bled for some reason (blerg) and i'm not too happy with how the satin stitch came out. there's a reason I really only do backstitch! ha!
