1  Silly Birds?*Update* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by JennyBrown on: April 30, 2008 02:30:09 PM
I'm participating in a craft fair in June and I wanted to add a new feltie to my other critters so I made these two birds.  The red one has been growing on me and I think it turned out okay but the yellow one looks kind of off to me (maybe it's the color combo?).  I thought maybe I could get some opinions on what people thought.  Maybe they need feet, but I wanted to keep them simple and partridge-like.  Anyway, here are my silly birds.....

Thanks for your help!

*Update*

I changed the button eye to a better button and it looks tons better.  Here is the new yellow bird!

I received from yelley this afternoon!  My package was awesome and I love it!  Here are the pictures:

Everything together:

Purple adorable octopus!!! eek!

Pink squid!  yelley said she couldn't seem to find the right eyes so she's left it up to me to leave him sightless or give him sight!

Felted bag with octopus...so cool....I don't have a felted bag, or I didn't until now at least!

I like how it hangs when you hold it!

Thanks so much yelley...I love it!  I hope you like your stuff as much!

I opened my package about 15 minutes ago and it was amazing!  Kitschkween did such an amazing job and I love it all!  Here is the overall shot with squirrel scarf, lil owling, owl necklace, awesome nest ring, and the piece de resistance.......the cutest deerling ever!  It's pretty big too.  Look at those cute eyelashes and sparkle!  I love her!

I received an awesome package from h_pets360 on Monday!  Here are the pictures:

A cute lil' birdhouse that I'm going to put outside my window, painted in my favorite color combo turqoise/brown and a great turquoise hat!  It's so cute!

Awesome embroidered kitchen towels!  The embroidery is so well done!  Funny, cause before I made h_pets360's towels I had thought about putting rockets on them but changed my mind at the last minute!

Close up of rocket-girl!!

There was also chocolate, which is long gone! Cheesy
Thanks h_pets360!

Okay....here are my pictures!  I couldn't have had a better partner!  I love it all so much and couldn't wait to use the tote at work today!  It was all wrapped up in cute paper, but I wasn't patient enough to take a picture before I started ripping it all open!  Thanks so much t-dub for a great package!  (sorry for the giant pictures!  I was too excited to post to learn how to make them smaller)!

close up of the embroidery on the wall hanging.....isn't it nice?!

the entire wall hanging with great fabric!

the awesome tote that I've already used!

very cool scarf that I will try to keep clean!

the cutest stuffie!  he is so different than the ones I make and I love him!

This has been a great swap and everyone's packages are amazing!

6  Re: An Xmas Ornament in a Week Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by JennyBrown on: November 30, 2007 02:20:41 PM
I received yesterday from guineverefree!  I love both the ornaments so much!  The first one is a set of fortune cookies complete with Christmas fortunes inside!  The other one is the cutest pink bird I've ever seen!  I love amigurumi type critters, and since I can't do it I love getting them.  Thank you so much!

Here they are!

8  Re: Craft My Collection swap display shelf! in The Swap Gallery by JennyBrown on: October 18, 2007 03:08:42 PM
I received today!

I got this cute lil owl stuffie (I have a well-known affinity for them!) and a great wallet that I'm so impressed by from Bloomingkinder!  The wallet is the best owl and mushroom print I have ever seen and has compartments for cards and zippered pouch!  So cool!  I love it Bloomingkinder!  Where did you get that amazing fabric?

And here is what I sent to Bloomingkinder.  She received a while back but hasn't had time to post on here lately so I told her I'd post the pics.  She said she loved Starbucks so I made her a coffee care package.  A tote bag with felt applique coffee cup pocket ( he has eyeballs, but the picture washed them out), a felt coffee cozie, and a "starbucks" keychain/coffee money pouch (the pouch is removeable).  I hope you liked it all Bloominkinder!

9  Green Owlie! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by JennyBrown on: August 09, 2007 06:24:28 PM
I made this green owl on Monday when I was home from work recovering from having my wisdom teeth out.  He definately made me feel better!  I haven't given him any feet yet though, but here he is (next to tiny santa)!

10  Work Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by JennyBrown on: August 09, 2007 02:37:06 PM
I work as a display artist and always need to have screws and things handy, but a tool belt is just not working for me so I made this!

I am still only a mediocre seamstress, but I am getting better!  I kind of made this up as I went but it all worked out and has all the pockets I need for things.  Hope you like it!
