2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Anthropologie Joona Handknit hoodie - stitches? pattern? on: November 06, 2007 03:47:05 AM
Hi!
I try to figure out a pattern for this (left one)

You can look at the details here
http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_dynSessConf=1005105443340556365&id=71607&parentid=APP_SWEATERS_COATS&pushId=APP_SWEATERS_COATS&popId=APP_SWEATERS&sortProperties=%2BmarketingPriority%2C-saleDate&navCount=196&navAction=poppushpush&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize 1=&color=tau

I have some basic ideas about the construction but I am not sure about the stitches...

I know how to make bell sleeves, I think I can do the hood,  adding some ruffles ... It might be easier to start from a fitting basic pattern ... any ideas?
Anyone who would like to develop a pattern with me? Anyone who has an idea about the construction of other parts of this?

What about something like a pattern-along (followed by a knit-along?)...

The body looks like simple seed stitch, but how to do the spiral ribbs?

Does anyone have a stitch pattern for that?
Thanks
Tanja
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Paton'sUrbanAran/Jareds Cardi OR IK Cobblestone - No chance for pattern here on: October 08, 2007 03:09:27 AM
Hi!
I am definitely sure that my boyfriend would like this for his birthday (Mid november). But here starts the trouble.
see http://www.flickr.com/photos/68971937@N00/134463733/
Even if I could make the changes (seems not to hard to do) I cant get the pattern here in Austria. Even if I could find one via internet, it would take to long or otherwise would be to expensive to order from US.
Any idea for similar looking pattern or possibility to get that pattern?
Thanks
Tanja

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Miu Miu ballon sleeve sweater ... any pattern idea on: September 26, 2006 04:33:32 AM
When I saw this garment, I knew I want something like that
http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/16929
Anyone any idee where to find a pattern for that rounded seam detailing across bust? Or for other details of the pattern (egg.: sleeves, seam in the back...)? I guess if I find some guidelines for the details, I can modify them... If it works, i will post the finished pattern.
Thanks for any ideas,...
Tanja
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help needed! Lost pattern from Vogue Knitting Spring/summer 2005 on: September 20, 2006 10:30:37 AM
Hi!
When I read the new VogueKnitting, I realised that I did never finished a project from that old issue which was featured again in a portrait about the designer.
I loved the design but stopped knitting it after the sleeves...and than there were all the other things to knit...thats how it goes...
So...I decided to finish this beautiful project now ... found the sleeves and the beautiful wool...wanted to start knitting again ...
BUT I CANT FIND MY VOGUE MAGAZIN!
I CAN`T BUY IT AGAIN IN AUSTRIA!
HELP!
I am looking for the pattern of model 5.
There is a picture at
http://www.royalyarns.com/ptrn/VOG/VK-SS-2005/B-12.html

Anybody out there who:
- can help me?
-has this pattern and can scan it for me?
-tell me how to order old vogues in Austria?
-knows a similar pattern?

Excuse my bad English, but I am just confused about not finishing that beautiful pullover ... I wish I had done it then ... but thats what happens if there are to many great pattern out there...
