1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finished Socks on: September 23, 2007 09:40:40 PM
I have rediscovered that I like knitting socks:

These are lace socks from Lace Style.

And these are my "Watermelon Socks," I am very happy with how they turned out (they won second prize in the fair).
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Snow Drop Shawl on: September 21, 2007 04:40:17 PM
I made this with Zephyr from Jaggerspun (50 merino/50 silk) on US 4s. I have had this finished for months, but finally got around to blocking it this past one. The pattern is from the Yarn Harlot'shttp://www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/ website

3  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Double Wide Fabric on: July 01, 2007 12:24:32 AM
Weee. I finally finished my project for weaving this semester. Only 2 weeks late... all 4 1/2 yards of it.

I can't wait to start sewing. It theoretically shall be made into a cote hardie for moi. Once I get up the courage to cut it. I might end up doing something with a more rectangular construction (like a norse apron dress) just to save my heart though.
4  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Itajime Shibori Scarf on: April 15, 2007 10:38:46 PM
I just took a Shibori/fulling/creping silk workshop this weekend, and I

I really want to try this again. I have another piece that I did this way as well with a black that discharge dyed to a grey with splotches of black, but I don't have any pictures of that.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pirate Hat on: February 04, 2007 12:38:20 PM
I am so proud of this one, and wanted to share the piratey goodness. This is my pirate hat from "We call the Pirates" done in Merino Soft. Disregard the yarn still sticking out from the bottom. I will get around to finishing the ends when I feel like it.

It did turn out a bit small (my gauge was 8 stitches to the inch instead of 6...) and now I need to do it for a friend of mine. I'm trying to figure out if I should use bigger yarn and needles, or if I should just add another pattern repeat. What do people think?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Noru Fingerless Gloves on: October 13, 2006 10:04:18 AM

My newest finished project is a pair of fingerless gloves with Noru. They are knit side to side in garter, with a crochetted, scalloped border for button holes. They are so comfy, and nice and warm!

Cheers!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Multidirectional Scarf on: October 10, 2006 08:58:14 AM
Here's my second attempt with photos, hopefully this will work for everyone. Here's my new "multidirectional scarf" out of my own homespun.

and here is a close up.

This is a navajo three ply out of some random super wash that I picked up at black sheep. I hope you all like it.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My spiffy new coat on: October 06, 2006 11:03:51 AM

Let's see if that worked (first time trying to post pictures)

This is my new coat (actually I made it a little while ago, but who's counting?) which I made out of a cotton flannel, lined with cotton sheeting, and trimmed. I used black frogs for closures. Grin
I designed the pattern myself, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. If it didn't work to post the picture, I have it posted on my website:
