No it says dry clean only on the tag. As for color, its a medium and dark gray. I suppose I should have said that before,eh?

I have a question. I purchased a 100% lambswool sweater (it said so on the tag) from goodwill with the intention of felting it, then cutting it up to make a messenger-type bag. I threw it in the wash with a few pairs of jeans set it to hot, added my soap, and waited it out. When I pulled it out of the washer, it seemed a little like it had felted, but the sleeves and back were exactly the same as whe nI put it in. What went wrong? Any help/suggestions would be great.
