1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Knitted Bathmat - A Bedsheet Re-Purposed! on: September 22, 2008 12:21:52 PM
I love the bedsheet idea! I did one with t-shirts, cut in the spiral and believe me I couldn't move my hands for like two day after all that cutting. Yuck! I think I'll give it a go with some bedsheets now. HTanks for the idea!!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Halloween costume ideas for 2008 on: August 22, 2008 03:07:04 PM
Last year my Hubs and I went as a pregnant nun and a priest. We had some very strange looks carrying around my baby niece (the chili pepper). I think this year we are going to go as gnomes. I saw the post sometime ago on here, but can't remember anything other than that. I really like the Zelda/Link idea from page one.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! Lefty incapable of reading charts! on: August 10, 2008 10:24:10 AM
I move my stitches to an empty left needle. I think you may have solved my problem, I was reading the chart right to left on the RS and left to right on the WS. For some reason I thought I had read somewhere that is how you read them, but reading them in the direction of your knitting makes so much more sense to me! Thanks soozeq!!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! Lefty incapable of reading charts! on: August 10, 2008 06:44:46 AM
I really want to make the binary scarf (from knitty) for my Hubs for Xmas, but when I started doing it, after the first section I noticed all the 1's were backwards. So the questions are this: Is it because I knit lefty? Do I need to do something special to the chart so it turns out right? Also I've never knit from a chart before, most of the charts scare me. I'd appreciate any and all help in this matter. Thanks in advance!!

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: knitted tie on: August 08, 2008 08:08:52 AM
Very cool!! I really like the colors in the first one.

I've felted with Brown Sheep Company's Lamb Pride with very good results, just to hep out with the unfindable felting yarn issue.

Happy knitting!
