thanks! some people leave before the tickets get drawn, and we don't call you if you win, so whoever won probably left before they won. also, there was a picture of the pumpkin on the front of the life page in our local paper, and on the very front page you can see me lurking in the background manning a game booth...

the little girl who bought it asked me about every minute if it was four o'clock yet, because that's when unclaimed pumpkins are allowed to be sold.

it was really fun to make, and half the fun was thinking of bits to hide in there. i put one of every type of coin, so that was cool. Lego people also work great, and seashells, and if you have any uniquely shaped beads, those are fantastic!

thanks guys! i would have been far less creative if it wasn't for my teacher, who kindly donated some of her grandma's beads, which was really nice. i'm making her a thank you note right now. my friend annie was also a big help, and assisted in coming up with the i spy idea. i realized i forgot to thank them in the text. oopsidaisies!

So, I made a pumpkin for my school's Pumpkin Palooza, a benefit for the Lakewood Christian Service Cemter. I used hot glue and beads and came up with the theme "I Spy." I glued interesting trinkets onto it and made a riddle with things to find. We raffle the pumpkins off, and it got a lot of tickets, but the person never claimed it so a nice little girl bought it for 5 dollars.

Here's a picture of the pumpkin.
