There's a great fabric store in Lakewood, NJ called stitch n sew. They have amazing stuff

I'm guessing blankets would fall under houseware since they are sewn but not quilted?

My friend had twins, a boy and a girl and being that she grew up a fisherman's daughter, her love of the sea is being passed to her kids with a nautical nursery. I found this great retro fabric for one side and the flannel anchors and stars for the other! I love how they came out and she loves them as well!

money is tight tight tight these days but i wanted to make something cute for my mom for her birthday. I found the pattern on the lion brand site and they're so cute i have to make myself a pair! Super easy to boot

that is such a cute set!  I love caron simply soft, it's inexpensive without feeling cheap lol....how did you do the stripes on the hat? Just color changes?

yup just changed the color for two rows, switched back to the pink for two rows and back to the white until I had three stripes.  I really like the look of ribbed stuff too..not really sure why..just do   I normally reserve it for scarves/hats I make for guy friends because I think it looks a little more..manly I guess. They seem to like it as well

to be fair he's been a great friend and support to me for the last yr so I was happy to do it for him and honestly probably wont accept any money from him.

he has a matching scarf in green and white that i gave him for his birthday so now they can be one of those disgustingly cute matching couples:)

My friend asked me if I would make a scarf and hat set for his girlfriend for the dreaded V-Day. Being that I'm single it's not my favorite holiday, but he's out of work at the moment and was desperately trying to think of something he could afford to buy her, so I said I'd do it and he can pay me when he gets a job again. I'm happy with how it came out and she loves it, so it's a success
