I finished my Bird in Hand mittens this week!

I love them. I used Frog tree alpaca in two different shades of pink. They're warm and soft!

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My Coachella! on: August 07, 2007 06:51:20 AM
I finished Coachella, from Knitty. It was a quick and easy knit (and required no seaming, which is always a plus).

I love it. I made a few modifications. I didn't do the short rows on the bust because I didn't want it to hang too low. I added two extra hip increases because I have big hips. In fact, I probably should have added too more, it's a little tight in this area. And I did two inches of ribbing at the bottom, because I didn't want a rolled edge.

More details on my blog.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Short row hat on: October 15, 2006 12:25:24 PM
I just finished Vronik Avery's Short Row Hat:

It was a quick and fun knit. I used the recommended yarn (Faith by Ami-Ami) in colour A-48.

Free pattern here (in pdf format).
