Thanks everyone! I'm actually looking forward to colder temperatures so I can wear them Tongue
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Baby Blanket on: November 03, 2008 10:47:37 AM
I just found out one of my good friend is pregnant and I'm planning to knit her a baby blanket so I may join you (I have a few Christmas projects to finish first). I'm still trying to decide which yarn and which pattern to use.

I finished my Bird in Hand mittens this week!

I love them. I used Frog tree alpaca in two different shades of pink. They're warm and soft!

6  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Fall is coming! Knit along on: December 17, 2007 09:44:08 AM
My last update

1. Woven Trellis scarf from Vogue Knitting (FROGGED! I will replace it with another scarf)
2. Simple ribbed scarf for my boyfriend (DONE!)
3. Marina Picola socks for my sister (DONE!)
4. Shedir from Knitty (DONE!)
5. Socks for my mom's boyfriend (DONE!)
6. Endpaper mitts (DONE!)
7. Cablenet socks from Knitty

I also just finished a Fake Isle hat as last minute gift for a friend. I just need to block it. And it's all the knitting that will be done this fall (Winter starts on Dec. 21st or something like that, right?)

So. Who wants to start a winter knitalong?

It looks good!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Super Hallowe'en Costume on: November 07, 2007 05:49:28 AM
I've already told you how much I love the costume and your son is beautiful of course. I think a lot of people would pay for a pattern (I would if I had kids to knit for). The only thing I don't know is if there's some sort of copyright attached to the Superman costume/logo. Does anyone know if she could legally sell a Superman pattern?
10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Christmas stocking anyone? on: November 07, 2007 05:31:37 AM
I want to make one too, but I need to finish two Christmas gifts first. If I still have time after that, I think I'll make the Fireside stocking, by Kate Gilbert. It's from the Holiday Gifts issue of Interweave Knits (scroll down to see the pattern). I'd make it in red and green, simply because I already have the yarn. I love it in white and blues though.
