1  Bird in Hand mittens in Knitting: Completed Projects by Amarillys on: November 02, 2008 06:59:40 PM
I finished my Bird in Hand mittens this week!

I love them. I used Frog tree alpaca in two different shades of pink. They're warm and soft!

Can I join? I'm making myself a pair and I'm in love with them already. I'm done with #1 and I'm more than halfway done with the second one. I kept the purl seam but I'm not crazy about it either.

6  My Coachella! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Amarillys on: August 07, 2007 06:51:20 AM
I finished Coachella, from Knitty. It was a quick and easy knit (and required no seaming, which is always a plus).

I love it. I made a few modifications. I didn't do the short rows on the bust because I didn't want it to hang too low. I added two extra hip increases because I have big hips. In fact, I probably should have added too more, it's a little tight in this area. And I did two inches of ribbing at the bottom, because I didn't want a rolled edge.

More details on my blog.

I finished mine!

I took many suggestions from the great people who posted in this thread. I didn't do the short rows on the bust. I added two increases for the hips (I could have added more, I have big hips) and I finished with 2 inches of ribbing. I really like it.

I finished mine. I'm not 100% happy with it but I am happy I'm done with it. Smiley

Sorry, I can't get a much better pic. Maybe I'll try to take another one tomorrow when my boyfriend is home.

9  Re: Twisted Stitch Socks in Knitting: Completed Projects by Amarillys on: March 05, 2007 05:17:41 PM
Hey I just finished socks using the exact same yarn! Smiley I used a plain stockinette pattern though (it was my first time knitting two socks at the same time on two circs).

I *finally* finished these:

I couldn't recommend the yarn more: Austerman Step. It has aloe and jojoba oil in it and they feel wonderful on my feet.
