This is lovely.  I really dislike making clothes for the dolls I make, but this has inspired me.  I've had a look at the links you posted to the tutorials, looks interesting, thanks for sharing.

Okay! Here is my FIRST almost-finished poppet (just needs clothes!)  Grin

love her, love her.  These interesting skin colours are so good.  If I make another I will use blue or green I think. Lovely.

Not allowed to post photos because I haven't made enough posts, but here is a link to my finished poppet.

I crocheted her a dress a bit like this one

Her eyes are made of pieces of felt.
I'm very pleased with the way she turned out, thanks again Ghillie for the pattern.

I'm not allowed to post pictures becasue I haven't posted enough yet:( but that is the link.

Here is my poppet as far as she's got.  I didn't have any buttons with shanks but I did have doll joints so I used those.  I don't think I  put them in quite the right place.  However I think she looks OK.
If you are in the UK and having trouble finding the right fabric, this ebay fabric http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sahara-Sand-Suede-Look-Fabric_W0QQitemZ200177296363QQihZ010QQcategoryZ83926QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
makes excellent doll fabric, it's a kind of synthetic suede.

Thanks a lot Ghillie for the pattern, it's a fantastic shape.

Hi, are there any others in the UK doing this?  I am having trouble sourcing some suitable fabric.  I have some jersey fabric, but I think this is maybe too stretchy.  Ca anyone tell me what would be suitable UK equivalents to the fabric suggested?

That's a shame there's no pattern, but I think you are very clever.  I found this pattern, which is a bit similar, for anyone else who was hoping you had one:)  a lamb, but you could alter the ears, I think.

I haven't made any of these little amigurumi yet, but I love your little green monkey:) Would you post a link to the pattern or book it was from, or are you one of those extra clever people who make their own patterns as they go along:)
