5  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Jr's Dream on: June 26, 2007 11:21:26 PM
maybe crafts would be hard to sell is what im thinking...but i think a bake sell would work out nicely.  everyone likes brownies and cookies and you would still be making them so it would still come from your heart
6  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Need ideas for Gold Award (really big service project) on: June 26, 2007 11:18:55 PM
i like the knitting idea but having worked on my gold award, it does sound  like almost too much to teach all those girls how.  i really like the blanket idea though.  maybe you could get several colors of fleece and cut little sqaures out and get some felt and fabric and anything else to decorate and then have all the girls decorate a patch.  then you can sew them all together.

i hope i helped

good luck and remember to have fun

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: graffiti!!! on: June 25, 2007 04:03:51 PM
that comment was way too harsh.  dont listen to them.  anyone who actually rolls with graff crews would be supportive of you getting interested in their art form.  but then again i guess that if they are just rolling then they arent really doing the art themselves. oh and it is okay to have a toy tag.  most profs do...its the little one in the corner of their bomb.  kinda like a signiture.  they obviously dont know what they are talking about

the best way to get started is to practice on PAPER first.  always start with paper.  otherwise you wont get the feel of your tag. once you find your own unique style of writing that is when you sart coming up with names.  you want one that no one else has so i would do my research and look at every name on your list.  i find that google helps alot actually.  then you want to start writing the name on paper once again.  once you are very very confident that you know that is what you want to do then that is when you go to home depot or somewhere else where you can get massive peices of flat wood (particle board or plywood) and some cheap spary paint and caps and start proacticing in your back yard with that.

thats what helped me!

haha oh and good luck...the world needs more female bombers
