Hey Zelda.Suicide! Nice job as always and I love the colors!

But, I thought you were trying to move less stuff? Wink

PS Got my coffee cup cozy yesterday and it rocks!

The mermaid Poppets are fantastic! I love the both of them!

And, Lola Satin is the perfect name , sammywoo! It's pretty funny that you named her Lola- I was thinking Lolita but that has already been used, so Lola was the next name that popped into my head!

They're made to look like the rabbits from the Wallace And Grommit movie Wink

And they absolutely do! I knew what they were as soon as I saw the pic (before I even read what you had written). I don't do a lot of cake decorating...what is ready-roll icing?
7684  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Leap into the New Year FROG Swap. (sign-ups 1/6-1/20, send-outs 2/20) on: January 07, 2008 04:36:21 PM
Leaping Tree Frogs, bronzfrog! That's a fantastic list of ideas you've put together. I never would have thought of half of them. Looks like I might be trying out some new crafts for this swap Wink

I often think of ideas beforehand, but I try to tailor, as much as possible, to my partner's tastes (doesn't always work, though Tongue). Sometimes, my main problem is narrowing the list down and not over-crafting!

dani.ELLE- They came out great! I have trouble making squares come out square without a pattern to follow, so I'm impressed with what you made. The colors are so cheery, too!

Wow, heini! Your afghan came out fantastic! The colors look great together and complement your cat nicely Wink

That's so cool Penlowe! And, I'm proud of you for exercising restraint. I would have purchased the lot and then probably regretted it later Wink

I had to buy science supplies yesterday and so I drove all over creation to find what I needed. But, my first stop was at the art supply store where I picked up a couple of carving blocks. I thought that I had enough, but when I checked my supply, I didn't have what I needed. And, because I was wiped out from 4 1/2 hours of driving and shopping, I couldn't do any carving yesterday. And, since I didn't get home until 6:30 tonight, none tonight, either.

But, I have nothing planned for after work tomorrow, so I should be able to get started. I have to sketch out my designs, but I think I have them clear in my head. I'm going in a different direction than what I planned to do when I first signed up, so I hope they come out okay!

Thanks! Freezer paper makes me look like a pro! Otherwise, it'd be a total mess Wink

This is Daffodil. She's all yellow, with painted eyes. I just finished her hair, and put a pink chiffon strip in it.

I realize she's a bit monotone, but she was inspired by a flower. Cheesy

Hmmm, she needs a mouth, and I think I still have some yellow floss!

The monotone works so well with that color!! I love it. I bought the yellow alova suede because it was 80% off. But I was not sure about it.  You just sold me on the yellow.  Grin Grin

She is so gorgeous.

I have some of the yellow too, and the lady at Jo-Ann's who cut it said she needed sunglasses to even look at it. But, I think she'd change her mind if she saw Daffodil!

And, all of the new Poppets are stunning! One of the swaps (Christmas stocking, maybe?) had a post with all of the stockings images together on one page. It would be so cool to see the huge Poppet family all together like that! I know that I can click "Show Images Only," but it isn't the same when you have to scroll through all of the pages...

I know we're not supposed to quote images, but if I put a post like that together (mini pics of all of the Poppets), would I get in trouble for that?
I could always host a page on my own website...

Or, does it already exist somewhere and I've just missed it?

If not, I'd love to do it!
7690  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: PAPER CRAFTS CHALLENGE!! on: January 06, 2008 06:41:21 PM
I would love to attempt this, but I know that anything I make would pale in comparison to all of the amazing paper craft geniuses that I see on here. So, I'll be keeping an eye on this so I can ooh and aah over all of the wonderful things that will be created. And, I will be drawing inspiration from you for future projects, I'm sure.

Can't wait to see it all!
